Central Michigan: We hear Rick Perry, former Notre Dame assistant, is the new strength coach at Central Michigan.

Seattle Seahawks: Chris Carlisle is leaving USC to join Pete Carroll's staff with the Seahawks.

FAU: Defensive tackles coach Rod Payne will be replacing Matt Pleskovic as head strength coach.  Payne will still coach the defensive tackles.

Dartmouth College: The Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for full-time interns for the spring and/or summer 2010. Responsibilities include assisting the strength and conditioning coaches in all aspects of developing and implementing strength, speed/agility, conditioning, and flexibility for all intercollegiate athletic teams. Additional responsibilities include: daily weight room supervision, clean and maintain equipment, complete internship curriculum requirements, and other duties as assigned. This is a non-paid internship position. Qualifications: Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should be enrolled in or completing their degree in an exercise science or related undergraduate/graduate program. American University: We hear Duke intern Jake Patton has accepted an assistant position with American University in Washington DC.

Notre Dame: Cincinnati assistant Jake Flint and former Cincinnati tight ends coach Lorenzo Guess have joined the staff as strength assistants.

Montana: Former Washington State strength coach Rob Oviatt has accepted the head strength job at Montana.

South Carolina State: We hear Torre Becton is the new head strength coach.

Marshall: Frank Piraino, an assistant strength coach at Florida, has accepted the head strength job at Marshall.  Piraino served as the head strenght coach for the Gators' baseball team. 

Florida State: We hear SMU assistant Joe Danos will be joining the FSU staff as an assistant.

UNLV: FootballScoop has learned that Montana strength coach Mike Gerber is going to UNLV as the head strength coach.

Coastal Carolina: The strength program is now being led by Brian Gabriel.  Gabriel takes over for Viktor Boyd during a restructuring of the university's strength program.  Boyd has the oprtion to return, but decided not to come back.

Akron: We hear Marshall strength coach Mike Cochran has accepted the Akron job.

Montana:  Rob Oviatt, former head strength coach at Oregon St., Kentucky, LSU and Washington State, has been hired as the head football strength coach at Montana. 

Florida State: FootballScoop has confirmed that SMU head strength coach Vic Viloria will join Jimbo Fisher's staff in the same capacity.
