Southeast Missouri State University: Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for full-time strength and conditioning interns for the 2010 Summer and 2010 Fall Semesters.  Successful candidates will assist with the implementation of strength training, conditioning, linear and lateral speed development, flexibility, and recovery workouts for all Redhawk sports.  Additional responsibilities include weight room supervision, cleaning and upkeep of equipment, successful completion of the internship curriculum and any other duties assigned by the Strength and Conditioning staff.  Applicants must have a strong work ethic and a desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning at the collegiate level.  Ideal candidates should be enrolled in an Exercise Science undergraduate/graduate program and should be CPR/AED certified and be working toward certification from one of the following:  CSCCa, NSCA, USAW, NASM, or ACSM.  Previous experience in strength and conditioning and knowledge of Olympic lifting is recommended but not mandatory. Successful applicants will receive course credit towards graduation (if applicable) and valuable Division I strength and conditioning experience.  No monetary compensation is provided. Start dates for interships are as followed: Summer:  May 31, Fall:  August 23. East Carolina University:  Strength and Conditioning Football Intern.  East Carolina Strength & Conditioning has immediate openings for the Summer 2010.  The intern will begin on Monday, May 17, and will finish on Wednesday, July 28.  This is an unpaid position.  The Pirate Strength & Conditioning staff is looking for very motivated and vocal individuals for this position.  The intern must have flexible availability and a drive for excellence in the field of strength and conditioning.  The interns daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  1. Northwest Missouri State University: currently accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning. Sacramento State: California State University, Sacramento, an NCAA Division I (FCS Football) institution is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns for summer and/ or fall 2010.  Duties: Assist Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength, speed, agility, flexibility and conditioning programs; facility maintenance and upkeep; other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. After becoming familiar with techniques taught by the Sacramento State Strength and Conditioning Staff, interns will assist in teaching proper technique in all aspects of the athletes' strength and conditioning program. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, be coachable and dependable, have a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, be CPR/First Aid certified and have prior weight room experience via previous coaching experience and/or a background as a competitive athlete. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; working towards NSCA-CSCS, SCCC, and/or USAW certifications. This is a Non Paid/Volunteer position.
