Tulane: We hear there is a strength intern position open at Tulane.

Eastern Michigan: Sports Performance is currently accepting applications for full-time strength and conditioning interns for the summer and fall of 2010. Duties will include assisting the Sports Performance staff with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for ALL sports as well as successfully completing the internship academic curriculum. Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates should be enrolled in an Exercise Science undergraduate/graduate program and should be certified in CPR/AED/1st Aid and be working towards certification from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSSCa, USAW, ACSM, or NASM. Previous internship experience in strength and conditioning and basic knowledge of the Tier System is strongly encouraged. Successful applicants will receive course credit towards graduation (if applicable) and valuable Division-I/Mid-American strength and conditioning experience. No monetary compensation is provided.  Starting dates for the internships are as followed: Summer 2010- June 1st, Fall 2010- August 30th.  Complete applications include a cover letter, resume/reference list AND video of yourself coaching a person performing three primary strength training movements. North Dakota State: Graduate Assistant, North Dakota State University seeks a qualified individual preferably with collegiate experience.  Applicants must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning.  Primary responsibilities include, assisting the Strength staff in all phases of the program.  Secondary responsibilities with be working with assigned sports.  Bachelor's degree in a related field required, CSCS preferred. Duke: Our sources tell us Cedric Prowell has accepted the strength & conditioning intern position. 

South Dakota State University: is accepting applications for a qualified, highly motivated Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports. Provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage. Supervising weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing.  Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences, CPR certification and certified or working to be certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCC).  In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University.  Compensation includes 2/3 tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred.  Previous athletic experience preferred.  Olympic Lifting experience preferred.  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended.
