Mississippi State University: Mississippi State University Strength & Conditioning Department is seeking applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The daily responsibilities will include:  Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs. Teaching student athletes proper techniques and equipment use.  Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities.  Some weekend work will be required.  Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Must have a bachelors degree and a certification from one of the following. University of Southern California: Department of Strength & Conditioning is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the Summer and Fall Semester 2010.  Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of the University of Southern California's strength and conditioning programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; completion of educational curriculum and assignments during the internship. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, CPR/First Aid certification and previous coaching experience. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, NASM and/or USAW certifications. Individuals chosen for position are subject to University background checks and standard hiring procedures. This is a Non Paid/Volunteer position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive experience working at the Division 1/Pacific 10 Conference level and receive college credit (if applicable). Arizona State University: Sports Performance Internship. Job Description: Assist the ASU Sports Performance staff in the day-to-day operations of the Arizona State University varsity weight rooms. Duties will include but are not limited to; assist the sports performance staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for 21 varsity sports, instruction of safe and proper execution of all facets of athletic development, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Summer interns will work primarily with Football or Men's & Women's Basketball, please indicate in your application which sport you prefer to gain experience in. Qualifications: Pursuing Bachelors in exercise science or a related field.  Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level.  Certification or working towards certifications with the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, and/or USAW. Compensation: This is an unpaid position. UCLA: The University of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern.  Positions are available to start June 2010.  Duties include assisting the Head and Assistant Athletic Performance Coaches in all aspects of the UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessments.  Minimum requirements include Bachelors degree or pursuing a degree in an exercise science related field and a strong desire to pursue an Athletic Performance career. University of Missouri: a Division I institution and member of the Big 12 Conference, seeks qualified candidates for a strength and conditioning graduate assistant in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Responsibilities include assisting the Director and Assistant Director's of Strength & Conditioning with 20 varsity sports; this involves program design, organization, implementation, and supervision of training sessions along with athlete testing data entry and maintenance of the facility are also part of this position.  Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree, Adult CPR certification, background in sport-specific resistance training and conditioning, knowledge of Olympic lifts, and working toward N.S.C.A. certification will be required of any applicant for consideration.
