UCLA: We hear Washington assistant strength coach Marques Tuiasosopo has accepted an assistant strength job at UCLA.

University Of Missouri: Department Of Athletic Performance is now accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Intern with 2 positions available.  Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  assistance of supervision for daily activities, set up and break down for daily activities, routine maintenance, weekly projects and reports, and assistance with execution of workout design and implementation for various sports.  There is no monetary compensation provided, however, there will be opportunities for professional development.  All prospective interns are expected to have outstanding work ethics and attention to detail.   Certified individuals are preferred, but it is not a requirement.  Resumes must be in before March 21st. Morgan State University: Accepting applications for Summer 2011 Strength & Conditioning Intern.  Responsibilities will begin on or about May 23, 2011 and run through July 29, 2011.  Responsibilities will include 1.) Assist with development and implementation of sport specific strength & conditioning programs.  2.) Office and organizational duties.  3.) Maintenance of equipment and training facilities.   4.) University of Tennessee: Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for 2011 interns.  This position is offering no monetary compensation.  Interns will be required to work at least 30 hours each week.  Individuals will gain experience in a division I college strength & conditioning setting as well as future recommendations.  College credit will be given as approved by their institution.  Responsibilities will include: 1) Assisting with the development and implementation of sport specific strength & conditioning programs. 2) Organizational and office duties. 3) Daily maintenance of equipment. 4) Assisting in supervision of training sessions and demonstrating exercise technique when needed. 5) Other duties as assigned by strength & conditioning staff.  Preferred applicants should have collegiate athletic playing experience, currently pursuing or have achieved a bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field.  Preferred qualifications: proficient in Microsoft Office, currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s).  Applicants please submit resume to Ron McKeefery, M.A, CSCS, SCCC, Director of Strength and Conditioning This email address is being protected from spambots. Memphis: We are told that Memphis will promote assistant strength coach Ryan Cidzik to head strength coach.

UNC: We have learned that Memphis head strength coach Tom Myslinski has accepted the head strength job at North Carolina.

Carolina Panthers: We are hearing Eastern Michigan strength coach Adam Feit has joined the Carolina staff as an assistant strength coach.

Mercer: Mercer University, a Division I member of the Atlantic Sun Conference, is currently accepting applications for the position of two (2) Volunteer Assistant Strength Coaches. The positions are responsible for Assisting the Head Strength Coach in all departmental functions.  Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts and other exercises to collegiate teams; 3+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance team work outs; an accredited fitness certification (preferably CSCS, USAW, or SCCC).  Applicants should have a strong desire to pursue a career as a full time, collegiate strength & conditioning coach. Positions are non-paid and would start work July 1, 2011.
