Wofford: is accepting applications for (1) Strength and Conditioning Intern and/or Volunteer Assistant for Fall and Spring semesters (10 month position). Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Wofford's 18 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Qualifications include: strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. The Individual chosen for the position is subject to college/university background checks. This is a Volunteer position. The Intern and/or Volunteer Assistant will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Dixie State College of Utah: is currently seeking interested candidates for the position of Strength & Conditioning Intern.  Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach in implementing strength & conditioning programs for intercollegiate athletic teams; maintaining weight room and equipment; motivate student athletes to work hard and help them to improve and excel; performing miscellaneous related duties when necessary.  Must be highly motivated and responsible.  Excellent opportunity for those with the desire to gain valuable knowledge and hands on experience in the field of strength & conditioning.  Related experience preferred but not required. Baylor University: Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for Fall 2011 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one’s career in the strength and conditioning field; Ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. This is an unpaid internship. Interns will receive experience working in a Big 12 training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Marshall: Missississippi State assistant James Townsend is the new head strength coach at Marshall.

Missouri Southern State University: an NCAA Division II program part of the MIAA conference located in Joplin, Mo, is currently accepting applications for a strength and conditioning internship. This internship will meet the requirements needed to sit for the CSCCa SCCC certification test. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in overall direction and coordination of strength and conditioning programs for 13 varsity sports. Coordinating with coaching staff of assigned teams to design and implement safe and effective programs. Assist in the every day operations of facility. Applicants must have strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic style lifting exercises. Bachelor’s degree required in appropriate field. Prefer at least 1 year experience in a collegiate athletic setting. Committed to the profession of strength and conditioning a must. Experience with computers preferred.
