Elon: Joe Baranello has accepted the assistant strength and conditioning position. Baranello was a former grad assistant at Central Oklahoma and Fordham.
Mississippi State: Mississippi State University Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Intern for Football for the Summer 2014 semester. The successful candidate will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 40 hours per week with the Strength & Conditioning Department. The program is designed for undergraduate students and the post bachelor professional looking for experience. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Louisville: Joe Miday (head strength coach) and Scott Wilks (assistant strength coach) have been announced by Bobby Petrino as the two guys who will lead the strength program. Both follow Petrino from Western Kentucky.
UAB: Sources tell us Green Bay Packers strength and conditioning assistant Zac Woodfin will be Bill Clark's head strength coach at UAB. Woodfin played for Clark at Prattville High School and then earned two-time First Team All-Conference USA honors as a linebacker at UAB.
Montana: Strength and conditioning coach Rob Oviatt has left the University of Montana for personal reasons. Mike Gerber will be the new strength & conditioning coach for the football program at Montana. Mike recently served as strength & conditioning coach with the UNLV football program over the past four seasons.

Massachusetts: The University of Massachusetts Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in Spring volunteer internship positions. A background in Exercise Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology or related field is preferred but not required. Applicants should also be in pursuit of obtaining a CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification as well as being CPR certified. Individuals who apply should be highly motivated, have strong work ethic, be punctual, and have a strong desire to become a future strength and conditioning coach. Daily duties will consist of aiding the strength and conditioning staff with assessments of student athletes, sitting in on meetings when designing programs, implementation of programs, performing proper lifting techniques, motivating athletes, and general maintenance/cleaning of the strength and conditioning facility. Interns will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Wisconsin-Whitewater: Whitewater is looking for interns in the strength and conditioning department for for Spring Semester 2014 (Feb. 1-May 9). This is an UNPAID internship but great opportunity to gain experience. Duties: Assist S & C coordinator with all aspects of training for all varsity sports. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need.
