Belhaven College (MS): a Christ-centered college located in Jackson, Ms, is seeking applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for Strength and Conditioning  Belhaven is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU), the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) and offers thirteen (13) NAIA sports programs.  The successful candidate will assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in various aspects of the program, with responsibilities including teaching Olympic lifting techniques, testing athletes, running speed and conditioning sessions, program design, maintenance of weight room, overseeing work study and additional duties assigned by the Head coach.  This position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in a relevant field.  Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. University of Richmond: three internship positions available in Strength and Conditioning beginning August 21st and ending December 15. Interns will assist in all areas of strength and conditioning instruction within one of three designated areas (Football, Basketball, or Olympic Sports) or any combination of the three.   Areas of responsibility in which the Intern(s) will collaborate with the head strength and conditioning coach and supervising coaches in order to gain knowledge and experience related to collegiate strength and conditioning programs include but are not limited to all aspects of: strength training, speed, agility, flexibility, sports nutrition, supervision of team and individual workouts, weight room maintenance, and research.  Qualifications: The selected individual(s) must have the desire, drive, work ethic and energy level to work with our staff here at the University of Richmond.  Practical knowledge of exercise technique, instruction and program designed is also expected.   Experience with the Olympic-style lifts and power lifts is also helpful.  The intern(s) must have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in strength and conditioning, a willingness to learn, and a desire to compete every day at work.  How to Apply:  Email a cover letter, resume and a list of three references to Jason DeMayo at This email address is being protected from spambots. Northwestern State University (LA): Natchitoches, Louisiana.  Sports Performance Assistant (Graduate Assistant).  Job Description: One (1) ten-month positions- looking to hire immediately. Sports Performance Assistants will aid in all areas of strength and conditioning instruction with NCAA Division I Southland Conference athletes.  Candidates are also required to spend 20 hours a week working in NSU's Health and Human Performance program.  Qualifications: 2.5 Cumulative Undergraduate GPA and over an 800 on the GRE.  Graduate assistant must be enrolled full-time (9 hours/semester) in the Health and Human Performance graduate program, and have practical knowledge of exercise technique instruction.  Experience with the Conjugated Periodization and Olympic lifts helpful. Southeast Missouri State University: Head strength & conditioning coach - Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide and implement year-round sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for 15 Division I intercollegiate sports (FCS football)

  • Supervise, educate, and advise graduate assistants, student assistants, and professional staff on performance-related issues

  • Oversee/manage resources, operations, scheduling, and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities

  • Promote Southeast Missouri State University and its athletics programs through community involvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field

  • NSCA CSCS Certification

  • Demonstrated evidence of motivating student-athletes

  • Demonstrated successful strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations

  • Demonstrated history of working successfully with students, faculty and the community

  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service

  • Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and an awareness of issues affecting women and minorities

Clemson University: As FootballScoop first reported two weeks ago, Dennis Love has officially been named assistant strength & conditioning coordinator for Olympic sports at Clemson University.

University of Richmond: There is an opening at University of Richmond.  Former assistant strength coach, Quadrian Banks, has joined Don Decker's staff at Ole Miss.  Banks served on the staff at Richmond since 2007.
