Marquette University: Internship in Strength & Conditioning.  Job Description:  Marquette University, a Division I Institution and a member of the Big East Conference, seeks qualified candidates for strength and conditioning internships in the Strength and Conditioning department.  Potential interns will be expected to develop a positive rapport with the student-athletes and coaching staff's while establishing themselves as a coach figure and conducting themselves accordingly.  Duties: Assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the development and implementation of strength training, speed, and conditioning programs for 14 varsity teams, weight room supervision, weight room upkeep, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned.  Qualifications:  Successful candidates should have prior weight training experience and/ or a competitive or coaching background in collegiate athletics.  Additionally, successful candidates should be working towards completion of a bachelor's or master's degree and/ or have a strong desire to gain experience in the field of strength and conditioning.  Additional qualifications include prior classes in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.  Compensation:  Class credit toward graduation requirements, gear when available, the opportunity to learn from three full-time strength and conditioning coaches, and earned recommendation for the next step in the career progression. Missouri Southern State University: an NCAA Division II program part of the MIAA conference located in Joplin, Mo, is currently accepting applications for a full-time internship.   RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in overall direction and coordination of strength and conditioning programs for 14 varsity sports. Coordinating with coaching staff of assigned teams to design and implement safe and effective programs. Assist in the every day operations of facility. Applicants must have strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic style lifting exercises. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required in appropriate field. Must have at least 1 year experience in a collegiate athletic setting. Committed to the profession of strength and conditioning a must. Experience with computers preferred. University of Central Oklahoma: Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach - The University of Central Oklahoma is a Division II Institution competing in the Lone Star Conference.  UCO is located in Edmond, OK 15 minutes North of Oklahoma City.  Position Description:  Assist Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with supervision and implementation of strength, power, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for teams assigned by the Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Qualifications:  Bachelors degree (preferably in related field), working toward certification in one of the following organizations CSCS or USA W.  Previous collegiate athletic experience preferred.  Acceptance into UCO graduate program is required.  Applicant must possess good communication and organizational skills, have a strong interest in becoming a strength coach.  Compensation:  6 hrs. Clemson University: Dennis Love promoted from graduate assistant to full-time strength & conditioning coach.  Marcus Bradley has been hired as graduate assistant strength coach for the Tigers.  Bradley previously coached at Gaffney High School in South Carolina.

Northwestern State University (LA): Natchitoches, Louisiana.  Sports Performance Assistant (Graduate Assistant).  Job Description: One (1) ten-month positions are currently available. Sports Performance Assistants will aid in all areas of strength and conditioning instruction with NCAA Division I Southland Conference athletes.  Candidates are also required to spend 20 hours a week working in NSU's Health and Human Performance program.  Qualifications: 2.5 Cumulative Undergraduate GPA and over an 800 on the GRE.  Graduate assistant must be enrolled full-time (9 hours/semester) in the Health and Human Performance graduate program, and have practical knowledge of exercise technique instruction.  Experience with the Conjugated Periodization and Olympic lifts helpful.
