Charleston Southern: is accepting applications for Strength & Conditioning Internships.  Internships are available at the beginning of every semester; summer, fall, and spring.  This is an up-paid internship working with Division 1 (FCS Football) athletics program.  Candidates will get the opportunity to get hands on experience with In-Season and Off-Season training programs for a variety of sport programs.  Also there is a program curriculum required to be completed during the internship.  Responsibilities will include: Assisting with the implementation of CSU Strength & Conditioning Program, Teaching proper lifting technique to student athletes, Daily maintenance of the weight room, and any other tasks assigned by Director of Strength & Conditioning.  Charleston Southern University is a Christian University in Charleston South Carolina with about 3000 students that compete in the Big South Conference.  Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. Wayne State: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach - Wayne State University Detroit, MI. Position will be primarily responsible to assist in the overall coordination, direction and operation of a NCAA strength and conditioning program for men's and women's intercollegiate athletic teams. Candidate will be responsible for assisting in designing, instructing and supervising proper techniques of sport specific weight training, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, strength improvement, speed improvement, nutritional education, testing and evaluation protocol and flexibility programs according to pre-season, in-season and off-season schedules.  Candidates will work in conjunction with the athletic training staff and team physicians in regard to effective rehabilitation and treatment programs for injured student-athletes. Candidate will assist in the training and supervision of student interns and volunteers. Candidate will assist in creating and maintaining proper records and databases; and oversee the operations and maintenance of all equipment. Other duties as assigned Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education or related area required. Certification with CSCCa or NSCA required. Additional certification with USAW or NSPA preferred. Experience in working with diversified groups of athletes, both male and female. Must be well-versed in a variety of training methodologies. Baylor University: Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for 2 Graduate Assistant (GA) positions.  GA responsibilities include: Design and implement training protocols for designated teams. Ability to work, write, speak and communicate effectively with staff, administrators and sport coaches. Ability to teach and execute proper technique of lifts and drills.  Coordinate, evaluate, compile and communicate performance targets. Delegation of daily administrative and maintenance items to interns. Completion of various educational assignments during the assistantship.  Graduate Assistant requirements include: Bachelor's degree; Exercise Science or related field preferred. Acceptance into Baylor University Graduate School. Experience in an NCAA four year college or university weight room working with a variety of teams. Possession of the following personality traits; strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm. Southeast Missouri State University: is accepting applications for volunteer assistant with their strength and conditioning department for the fall semester.  Responsibilities include:  assisting with the supervision and training of 14 Varsity Athletic Programs; assist with the daily administration and maintenance of equipment.  Applicants must have a strong desire to pursue a career in Strength and Conditioning.  Preferred qualifications include:  Persuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, or SCCC.
