Central Connecticut State University: New Britain, CT. Description: Assist Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with supervision of 17 Division 1 teams.  Applicant will be responsible for design, implementation and supervision of strength, speed, agility and quickness programs for 2-4 teams as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Applicant must possess good organizational and communication skills. They must also be able to demonstrate and teach all Olympic lifts. Qualifications: Must have experience teaching Olympic lifts and other strength exercises.  Must possess a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science or fitness related field.  Prefer applicant to be Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or currently in the process of becoming certified.  Personal qualifications desired are a highly motivated individual that is professional and dependable. Acceptance into the Central CT State University Graduate Program is required. Compensation: $ 9,000 stipend, tuition waiver for 6 hours of graduate study (fall and spring) as well as 3 hours during the summer. Northwestern: We are hearing that University of Georgia assistant strength coach Michael Schweigert has joined the Northwestern strength & conditioning staff.

University of Wisconsin - Whitewater:  Strength & Conditioning Internship for 2010-11 Academic year (Sept. - May).  This is a paid internship which includes a $5000 stipend.  Duties:  Assist S & C coordinator with all aspects of training for all varsity sports.  Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need.   Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential.  Job Requirments:  Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning.
