North Texas: FootballScoop has just learned that South Florida associate head strength coach Frank Wintrich has accepted the head strength position at North Texas under Dan McCarney.

Georgia: Marc Weiszer now reports that Joe Tereshinski will become the head strength coach and John Kasey will serve as an assistant.

Wyoming: We hear there is an assistant strength position open at Wyoming.

Georgia: We have learned the head strength coach Dave Van Halenger has been reassigned as administrative assistant to the head coach.

Sacramento State: Paid Strength and Conditioning Internship for Spring Semester 2011. Duties: Assist Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength, speed, agility, flexibility and conditioning programs for 15 sports; facility maintenance and upkeep; other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. Applicants must be coachable, NSCA-CSCS and CPR/First Aid certified, commit to a minimum 30 hours a week, and have experience working with or have played college football. Valdosta State University: Speed, Strength and Conditioning department is currently seeking applications for three Graduate Assistants to begin Fall of 2011. Qualified applicants will report to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Daily responsibilities will include: Designing and Implementation of programs for designated sports, assist with football and various other sports as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, daily maintenance of training facility, curriculum and maintenance of the internship program, and various other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field, certification from one of the following: (NSCA, CSCCa, USAW ), ability to communicate well with other staff, sports coaches, and athletes. BENEFITS: Applicants will receive class waiver and receive a stipend each month. University of North Carolina Charlotte: Is now accepting applications for strength and conditioning intern. This will be a 6 ½ month paid position to start immediately. Responsibilities and Duties include assistance to the strength and conditioning staff in all aspects of the Strength & Conditioning program, as well as in the implementation of sport – specific strength, conditioning, and speed programs for all assigned sports. They will also be responsible for the monitoring the student athlete's work ethic, techniques, and proper training skills. Responsible for facility maintenance; oversees general activities in weight room and equipment.
