Texas Tech: The Texas Tech University football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for summer 2011 interns.  This is a highly competitive and demanding position. The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assist the Director and Assistant Director's of Strength & Conditioning with Football 2. Daily clean up and maintenance of the facility and all its equipment 3. Setup and break down of weight room and field for football workouts/conditioning 4.  Assist with program design, organization, implementation, and supervision of training sessions. Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelors degree and working towards a certification from one of the following. (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) Must have CPR/AED certification; Prior strength coaching experience and/or collegiate playing experience is preferred, knowledge of Olympic lifts, experience working with Microsoft Word/Excel preferred. Compensation: This position will include housing. Carolina Panthers: We hear strength coach Jerry Simmonds will not return.

NY Jets: Sal Alosi resigned as strength coach.

Vanderbilt: Tennessee State strength coach Chuck Losey accepted an assistant strength position at Vandy.

Toledo: We hear Wisconsin-Green Bay strength coach Rudy Wade will be going to Toledo as the new strength coach for the Rockets.

Georgia: Head strength coach Joe Tereshinski will be paid $150,000 annually.
