Wyoming: We hear former Wyoming players Michael Ray accepted an assistant strength position at Wyoming.

Mississippi State: Full-time strength position. Assists in all strength, conditioning, and flexibility programs and operations for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Demonstrate knowledge of program design for a variety of sports; experience working at the intercollegiate level, preferably Division I; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professionalism in dealing with coaches and student-athletes; working knowledge of computers is required; CSCS and CSCC certifications are preferred.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting in all aspects of training for 14 sports; writing programs and testing for various sports as assigned by the Head Strength Coach; maintain an open line of communication with the other members of the strength staff, sport coaches, and athletes; assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the weight room; be available to meet with recruits when asked by sport coaches; perform special assignments and projects for the Head Strength Coach as requested.  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree; 1 to 2 years of experience; valid driver’s license. San Francisco 49ers: Duane Carlisle will not return as strength coach.  Assistant strength coach Mark Uyeyama has been promoted to head strength coach with the 49ers.

Bethune-Cookman University: a Division I member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, announces a search for a Director for Strength and Conditioning. This position reports directly to the director of athletics. Responsibilities include the coordination of all aspects of strength and conditioning for the athletics department with  duties including but not limited to: providing oversight and supervision to the strength and conditioning staff and student-athletes, conducting searches for personnel as needed; oversight and supervision of the weight training facilities including upkeep and maintenance of equipment; developing testing mechanisms in cooperation with respective head coaches for student-athlete skill and conditioning development. The Director of Strength and Conditioning will have be responsible for the operations of a brand new Athletic Training Center scheduled for opening in December 2011. The successful candidate must be able to travel to various competition sites on a routine basis. The position will manage a staff of two full time assistants and a group of student interns and will work in conjunction with the athletic director, head coaches and sports medicine department. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Minimum qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (National Strength Coaches Association) and at least 3 years of experience working with student-athletes and coaches at the NCAA Division I level or professional sports. Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required along with experience in working under NCAA rules. This position requires strict adherence to deadlines and the ability to utilize computer technology and to effectively demonstrate the techniques and skills needed to increase athletic performance through speed development, strength techniques and safety routines. The ability to work in a culturally diverse, Christian environment is also required. The salary is competitive and employment terms include 12 month, full time status with an attractive benefit package. Wofford: is accepting applications for (One) Strength and Conditioning Intern and/or Volunteer Assistant for the Spring semester. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Wofford's 18 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Qualifications include: strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to college/university background checks. This is a Volunteer position.
