Menlo College (CA): Menlo College Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Fall of 2014 Athletic Performance Internship Program. This is an unpaid position where you will receive hands on experience running your own team with the mentoring from senior staff members. Other benefits include are some meals, Menlo attire, tutelage of program design for multiple sports, and potential to earn a stipend to the strongest candidate. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Team responsibilities will include five teams: Football, Men’s Basketball, Softball, Men’s Soccer, and Baseball. Portland State: Portland State University is looking for qualified applicants to fill 2 full time internship positions for the summer 2014 term, starting no later than June 23rd unpaid VOLUNTEER internship working with football. The applicant will receive valuable experience at the division I level as well as knowledge that will serve them in the field. Along with coaching in the weight room and on the field, there will be structured classroom times for further education. Requirements: Must be able to work full time plus any extra time that is needed to complete tasks, Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (or related field) or in final semester, a valid CPR/First Aid certification, and a desire to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Kennesaw State: The Kennesaw State University OLYMPIC Sport Performance is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Graduate Assistant Sport Performance Coach beginning Fall 2014 semester to begin on August 4, 2014. Qualifications: Individuals applying must have received their bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field, must apply and be accepted to the Applied Exercise and Health Science graduate program, possess one of the major certifications (USAW, CSCS, SCCC) at the time of employment, willingness to adhere to standards of the Kennesaw State University Sport Performance Department, Kennesaw State University Athletics Association, and Kennesaw State University.
