University of Iowa: Strength and Conditioning Internship. Job Description: Assist the Olympic strength and conditioning staff in all day-to-day operations of the University of Iowa varsity weight rooms. Duties will include but are not limited to; assisting staff in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for 23 varsity sports,  set up, and breakdown of training equipment and assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in exercise science or a related field. Experience in a collegiate setting, and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level. Certification or working towards certifications with the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, and/or USAW. Compensation: This is an unpaid position. Class credit toward graduation requirements from your current institution, athletic apparel when available, the opportunity to learn from four experienced full time strength and conditioning coaches, and the potential to earn future recommendations. How to Apply: Email cover letter, resume, and references to Coach Gabriela Quiggle. Mississippi State University: Mississippi State University Strength & Conditioning Department is seeking applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The daily responsibilities will include:  Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs. Teaching student athletes proper techniques and equipment use.  Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities.  Some weekend work will be required.  Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Must have a bachelors degree and a certification from one of the following. Western Carolina University: Strength and Conditioning Internship, $10,000 over 10 Months, Description: Western Carolina University invites qualified applicants the opportunity to apply for the position of strength and conditioning intern.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: program design, implementation, and supervision for assigned teams,  teaching of proper techniques as they relate to speed, power, and strength development, assist the head and assistant strength and conditioning coordinator with team training, as well as daily weight room operations. Requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field and pursuing a career in strength and conditioning.  Candidates must be able to teach proper lifting techniques, have good communication skills, and be able to use Microsoft Office.  It is preferred that the candidate be certified through an accredited association (NSCA, CSCCa, USA-Weightlifting) or obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
