Southwestern University (DIII – TX): The Southwestern University Sports Performance department is currently accepting applications for Fall 2016 volunteer Football Strength & Conditioning intern positions. Duties will include assisting with daily operations & facility maintenance, managing various athletic performance data base programs as well as the completion of various educational assignments. Interns will have the opportunity to receive experience working with all aspects of the varsity football training program as well as other varsity sports. Candidates selected will be working in a rapidly expanding NCAA DIII environment with the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Qualifications: Must be enrolled in an institution of higher education (undergraduate or graduate) in an exercise related major. Candidates must have a strong desire to become strength and conditioning professionals, must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character and demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Possessing or pursuing the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications preferred. No compensation will be provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree.
