Southeast Missouri State: We hear the head strength job is open.

Hobart and William Smith College: The two departments sponsor 22 intercollegiate programs with over 500 HWS student-athletes. The person will be responsible for the overall development and supervision of the two departments’ strength and conditioning program and the management of the Raleigh-Foley-Kraus Varsity Strength Training Center (RFK) in Bristol Gymnasium. Applicants must be certified as strength and conditioning specialist. Two to three years of coaching and/or teaching at the college level is desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate effectiveness as a teacher, the ability to organize and communicate with college students and staff, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. North Texas: Our sources tell us New York Jets strength intern Dave Trevino accepted an assistant strength position at North Texas.  He replaces Rick Lefebvre, who took the head strength job at Wisconsin-Green Bay.

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay: Strength and Conditioning Department is looking to fill Internship positions for the Fall 2011 semester.  The responsibilities for this internship position include:  1.) Assist coaches in the training of all Green Bay student-athletes.  2.) Perform daily maintenance of weight room and equipment.  3.) UW-La Crosse: Carnegie Mellon University strength coach Kevin Schultz is the new director of sports performance job at UW-La Cross.

University of Wisconsin – Whitewater:  Strength & Conditioning Internship for 2011-12 Academic year (Sept. – May).  This is a paid internship which includes a $5000 stipend.  Duties:  Assist S & C coordinator with all aspects of training for all varsity sports.  Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need.   Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential.  Assist with area high school and community training.  Job Requirements:  Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning.
