Western Carolina: We hear Ryan Waterbury has accepted an assistant strength job at Western Carolina.  Waterbury has previously served as an intern at Wofford and South Carolina.

The Citadel: Our sources tell us University of Vermont assistant strength coach Jim Kiritsy has  accepted the associate director of strength & conditioning at The Citadel.

Tennessee State: New head strength coach Alvin Futrell has hired Georgia grad assistant Josh Chance as an assistant strength coach and Georgia Tech intern Jerrod Grace as a strength & conditioning grad assistant.

Southern University: in Baton Rouge Louisiana is now accepting applications for the Fall 2011 Strength & Conditioning Internship. Responsibilities will begin on or about August 29, 2011 and run through December 16, 2011.  Responsibilities will include 1.) Assist with implementation of sport specific strength & conditioning programs.  2.) Office duties.  3.) Maintenance of equipment and training facilities.  4.) Other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.  5.) Must adhere to the rules of the Southern University Athletics Department, NCAA, and the Southwestern Athletic Conferences.  Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and strong desire to become a College Strength & Conditioning Coach.  Preferred qualifications: proficient in Microsoft word and excel, currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position.
