Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington is seeking a grad assistant strength coach. The graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Washington University will assist with the implementation of sport-specific strength training programs for all sports and will be assigned his/her own sports, as capable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the head strength and conditioning coach with the design and implementation of sport-specific strength, speed, and agility programs; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year assignment beginning with the 2013-14 academic year and includes a tuition waiver for graduate credit hours plus student fees per term (summer terms excluded) and a monthly stipend. Carolina Panthers: The Carolina Panthers Football Organization is currently accepting applications for a paid (1) strength and conditioning internship for the 2013 Off Season program. The Internship will begin Monday, April 8th, 2013 and conclude Friday, June 21st, 2013. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program. Applicants must have a strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should hold or be working towards certification from any of the following organizations: NSCA, CSSCa, USAW, ACSM, or NASM. Previous experience in strength and conditioning and knowledge of the Tier System is strongly encouraged. The salary for this position is based on a 40 hour work week and the North Carolina State Minimum Wage. South Florida: The University of South Florida Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for the Summer Semester of 2013 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of USF’s Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Temple: Shelton Gaffney has been hired as Temple's assistant strength and coordinating coach according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Gaffney was the assistant strength coach at Tennessee from 2008-10.

Mercer University (FCS): Mercer University is currently accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength Coach. Duties include writing and implementing team work outs for assigned male and female collegiate teams in accordance with NCAA, Atlantic Sun Conference and Mercer University rules and regulations. Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts and other movements to collegiate teams; 6+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance team work outs; an accredited certification (preferably CSCS, USAW, or SCCC); meeting Mercer University graduate school entrance requirements.
