Saint Joseph's (FCS - PA): Saint Joseph’s University (D-I, A10) is now accepting applications for the position of Intern Strength and Conditioning Coach for the fall 2013 semester. Start date is set for August 26th. The position must commit a minimum of 20hrs per week and will assist strength and conditioning coaches in the day-to-day operations of the department and will have the opportunity to work with all of Saint Joseph's Men's and Women's sports. Menlo College (NAIA - CA): Menlo College Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Fall 2013 Athletic Performance Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Team responsibilities will include 3 teams, Football, Men’s Basketball and Softball. Columbia University (NY): The Strength and Conditioning Department for Football and Outdoor Sports is looking for two (2) hard-working candidates to fill the positions of VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT. Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting the Strength and Conditioning Staff in all facets of implementation of weight training and speed programs, aid in the instruction of safe and proper weight training and speed techniques, assist in the regular maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and program design. This is an unpaid position (IF THIS IS NOT AN ECONOMICALLY VIABLE OPTION FOR YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY). This is an UNPAID position that will report directly to the Director of Performance Nutrition. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position will report directly to the Director of Performance Nutrition assisting in pre and post workout supplementation for all sports, managing fueling stations for various sports, staffing for 2 performance nutrition centers, supply and inventory of nutrition products, and assisting with the menu selection and meal monitoring for all athletes. Northwestern: Northwestern University Sports Performance has an opening for an Olympic Sports Intern for Fall 2013. This is an unpaid volunteer position working with male and female athletes across 18 teams. Candidates should be pursuing a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach or a similar field.
