Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University is seeking applicants for a full time Assistant Football (Defensive Coordinator)/Asst. Strength Coach position. The position will report to the Assistant Director of Athletics/Head Football Coach and the Head S/C coach as a secondary responsibility.  Minimum of 3 to 5 years defensive football coaching experience on the college level is required. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. NSCA or equivalent certification desired. Recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level and familiarity with Hudl software is desired. LSU: LSU is seeking applicants for an internship in their sports nutrition / strength and condition department. Essential Functions: Assist Coordinator of Sports Nutrition in counseling athletes on proper nutrition, supplements, ergogenic aids, and use of banned substances, Assist with fueling stations during practices and games, Assist in nutrition preparation for athletic events, Assist Coordinator of Sports Nutrition in development and delivery of team nutrition seminars, Conduct body composition measurement via BodPod, Assist in ordering and organization of nutritional supplements, Professional Skills and Qualifications: Completion of or working toward degree in Nutritional Sciences or Dietetics or similar field (preferred), Previous collegiate athletic participation (preferred). This internship will begin no later than Monday, May 1 2014 with the opportunity to stay the entire 2014 football season. Deadline to apply is: Monday, April 1 2014. Georgia: Clark Atlanta (D-II - GA) head strength coach Gus Felder has been named assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Bulldogs.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Cincinnati Bengals are seeking a Strength and Conditioning Fellow for the 2014 NFL season. This is a seasonal position with no benefits that will start and continue until one week after the season concludes.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist staff with the design and implementation of football specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs, Assist staff in performance monitoring and analysis using a Global Positioning System (GPS), Assist staff in assessment and analysis using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Weight room supervision, daily upkeep and equipment maintenance, Any other duties assigned by the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree strongly preferred, 1-3 years’ coaching experience in football strength & conditioning at the collegiate or professional level preferred. Proven ability as Head S&C coach highly valued, CSCS/USAW/CSCCA/ACSM certification preferred, CPR/AED certification required, FMS certification preferred, 1 year of experience preferred in implementing the FMS system and corresponding corrective exercise prescription, 1 year of experience monitoring with GPS technology preferred. Time Requirements: Approximate start date of April 1, 2014 to one week after the season concludes. Compensation: Hourly wage with no benefits. South Carolina: The University of South Carolina Football Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for the position of Football Volunteer Intern for the SUMMER. There are 12 positions available. This is a highly competitive and demanding internship. Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience, earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, and college credit toward graduation if applicable. Minnesota Vikings: Fox Sports is reporting that former San Diego Chargers strength coach Jeff Hurd will join the Vikings strength staff as an assistant strength coach.

Montana State: Montana State University is currently accepting applications for 3 qualified and highly motivated individuals looking to further develop their skills in the field of strength and conditioning, through an UNPAID Internship for the 2014 summer and fall semester. Preferences of the candidate include the following: Pursuit of future career in strength and conditioning as demonstrated by pursuit of professional certifications (CSCS, CSCC, USAW) and/or continued pursuit of a degree in a sport science or related field, CPR/First Aid and AED certification. Benefits to the candidate include experience in strength and conditioning at a collegiate level, potential to earn a recommendation toward further pursuits in the field, further learning of proper exercise technique via staff lifts, and the ability to further professional learning and development through formal internship curriculum. Vanderbilt: Vanderbilt University is accepting applications for Intern Sports Performance Coaches to contribute to the Vanderbilt Football Sports Performance Program. Qualified candidates will serve the Football program as a non-counted coach that will have the opportunity to observe all training sessions and assist with set-ups, breakdowns, spotting and additional administrative responsibilities. This is an unpaid opportunity. Required qualifications include achievement or current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related course of study in addition to certification in CPR/AED. This internship is expected to begin no later than Monday, April 28th 2014 and has the opportunity, based on evaluation, to extend throughout the entire 2014 football season. Hampton: Hampton University is seeking two (2) highly motivated and qualified candidates for the position of VOLUNTEER/INTERN for Hampton University Football Strength and Conditioning. The capable candidates will have the opportunity to advance their competence while gaining knowledge and experience in the field of Athletic Performance at a Division 1 institution. Candidates will also gain valuable networking connections and references for future advancement. College credit will also be awarded where appropriate. Responsibilities for both non-paid positions are: assist S&C staff with all daily maintenance and operational duties, involvement in volunteer/intern professional development program, as well as other duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Required Qualifications: Applicants should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field. Must have a strong desire to be involved in Strength and Conditioning at the collegiate level. This non-paid position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week. Washington State: Washington State University is looking for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football. This is a full time position that entails assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the implementation of all phases of the Strength and Conditioning programs for football. A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred. Three years previous coaching experience is required (preferably at the collegiate level). Must be CSCCa, USAW or NSCA certified. Applicant must be able to teach all Olympic movements and squatting movements, experience in acceleration and speed development and have experience teaching them to large groups.
