Old Dominion: The Old Dominion Sports Performance Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Football Sports Performance Coach. This is a 12 month entry level position. Duties will include, but are not limited to: assisting staff with the daily implementation of football sports performance, assist the Assistant Director of Sports Performance Coach with field hockey sports performance and will serve as the primary contact for men’s soccer. Compensation: $16,700 to be paid in monthly stipends. Davidson: Davidson College Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for one part-time assistant strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Davidson’s 21 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; work closely with the sport coaches to develop the best hands on strength and conditioning programs for their respective sports. FAU: The Florida Atlantic University Strength & Conditioning department is accepting applications for the position of Volunteer Intern for the Fall 2014 semester (Aug.18th-Dec.12th). Compensation: Division I Intercollegiate experience; an earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach; as well as college credit toward graduation, if applicable. University of Wisconsin-River Falls: The UW-River Falls athletic performance department is seeking highly motivated individuals for a ten month Athletic Performance Internship starting August 1st 2014 and finishing May 31st 2015. Cal: The University of California Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for a Volunteer Intern for the Fall of 2014. The internship begins August 18th and ends December 12th. This is an unpaid position, however, this position offers an opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning through future recommendation along with coaching apparel and the opportunity to eat at daily team meals. The intern that is selected will also accumulate internship hours toward CSCCa Certification under a certified mentor. The position involves a comprehensive intern curriculum in addition to the daily responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, assistance in the supervision of the Cal Football team, set up and breakdown for daily strength and conditioning activities, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility. Prerequisites include completion of a Bachelors’ Degree along with, preferably, collegiate athletic experience. Appalachian State: Appalachian State University is accepting applications for Fall 2014 Strength and Conditioning Interns. This is an UNPAID internship. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I FBS S&C environment. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: assisting with set up and break down of equipment; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room; assist with supervision and demonstration during training. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, possess excellent communication skills, have a desire to learn, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Valdosta State: Valdosta State University is currently accepting applications for volunteer Strength & Conditioning (S&C) internship positions. The internship will last for the duration of the fall semester. These are unpaid positions. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division II S&C environment with exposure to training, programming, and coaching. Other benefits include possible future references, course credit, and gear when available. Minimum requirements include certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid, a strong work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication skills in a group setting. Villanova: Villanova Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for a volunteer internship position for Fall 2014 Semester. This is an unpaid position; however, volunteers will receive a unique experience working at a Division I program and will work directly with 22 Varsity Teams, including Football. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and turf field for conditioning workouts; daily clean-up and maintenance of the weight room and equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Applicants must be highly self- motivated, possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. Applicant should already possess or be eligible and preparing to sit for the CSCS,SCCC, PES, and/or USAW or must be in a Bachelor’s degree program geared toward Exercise Physiology or a related field. Tulane: Russ Buller has been promoted from director of strength and conditioning for Olympic sports to assistant athletics director for student-athlete sports performance and nutrition. 

Texas A&M-Kingsville: Texas A&M University-Kingsville seeks committed and enthusiastic individuals to join the Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant. The individuals must have a desire to learn and a passion to pursue a career in strength & conditioning. The responsibilities include: Oversee and administer strength and conditioning programs for assigned sport, provide detailed programs for assigned sport, assist in teaching and monitoring athletes, provide 10 hrs a week at the Student Recreation Center.
