Florida International: The Florida International University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach position. The successful candidate will also be assigned sport teams to be determined by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. A Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field is required. Applicants must be accepted into a Graduate Program at Florida International University. Certifications in one or all of the following: CSCS, SCCC, USAW is preferred, but not required. Compensation will be a stipend of $4,500 per semester, including tuition waiver (up to 9 credits per semester, 6 credits in summer). Central Connecticut State: CCSU is seeking applicants for a strength and conditioning graduate assistant. Description: Assist Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with supervision of 17 Division 1 teams. Applicant will be responsible for design, implementation and supervision of 2-4 teams as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Qualifications: Must have experience teaching Olympic lifts and other strength exercises. Must possess a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science or fitness related field. Applicant must be SCCC and/or CSCS or currently in the process of becoming certified. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for CCSU’s Graduate School and be prepared to begin working no later than June 1st, 2014. $9,000 stipend, tuition waiver for 6 hours of graduate study (fall and spring) as well as 3 hours during the summer. Louisville: Joe Miday (head strength coach) and Scott Wilks (assistant strength coach) have been announced by Bobby Petrino as the two guys who will lead the strength program. Both follow Petrino from Western Kentucky.
UAB: Sources tell us Green Bay Packers strength and conditioning assistant Zac Woodfin will be Bill Clark's head strength coach at UAB. Woodfin played for Clark at Prattville High School and then earned two-time First Team All-Conference USA honors as a linebacker at UAB.
Montana: Strength and conditioning coach Rob Oviatt has left the University of Montana for personal reasons. Mike Gerber will be the new strength & conditioning coach for the football program at Montana. Mike recently served as strength & conditioning coach with the UNLV football program over the past four seasons.

Massachusetts: The University of Massachusetts Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in Spring volunteer internship positions. A background in Exercise Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology or related field is preferred but not required. Applicants should also be in pursuit of obtaining a CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification as well as being CPR certified. Individuals who apply should be highly motivated, have strong work ethic, be punctual, and have a strong desire to become a future strength and conditioning coach. Daily duties will consist of aiding the strength and conditioning staff with assessments of student athletes, sitting in on meetings when designing programs, implementation of programs, performing proper lifting techniques, motivating athletes, and general maintenance/cleaning of the strength and conditioning facility. Interns will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities.
