Northwestern Oklahoma State University: NWOSU Strength and Conditioning is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER INTERN/Assistant Football Coach for the Fall of 2012. These are for VOLUNTEER/UN-PAID positions! Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and football field for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Preferred Qualifications: pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in exercise science; athletic training or a related field; working towards a certification with the NSCA, USAW, or CSCS; collegiate coaching and/or playing experience. Interns will need to be CPR / AED certified. This is a great opportunity to better understand program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, receive college credits, as well as earn an on the field coaching position. Yale: Yale University is looking for highly motivated strength and conditioning interns for the Fall 2012 semester. Interns receive exposure to 35 Division I varsity sports and over 800 student athletes. Their role will progress from observation to hands on interaction dependent upon weekly evaluations from the Yale University Strength and Conditioning staff. Colorado School of Mines: Colorado School of Mines is accepting applications for fall 2012 Strength and Conditioning Internships. Applicants must be highly motivated, with a tremendous work ethic. Communication and organizational skills are a must. Experience in a collegiate strength and conditioning program is preferred. Essential tasks include: aiding the strength and conditioning coordinator in developing/administering strength and conditioning programs for all sports offered at CSM; work directly with student athletes to teach proper lifting technique/safety; work directly with the coaching staffs to develop, illustrate, oversee, and document the progress of the student athletes’ sports performance training; maintain and clean the athletic weight room; serve as a positive role model for all CSM athletes. St. Francis (PA): Chad Hutsko has been hired as a full time strength coach. Hutsko has worked as a volunteer strength coach at Carnegie Mellon University since January, and has also previously served as an assistant strength coach at Kentucky.

Memphis: The University of Memphis is seeking a Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning to work with Olympic sports (to include individual team assignment) and assist with football. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to; design and implement specific strength & conditioning programs for assigned teams; supervise both individual and team workouts; maintain team and individual records; implementation, demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; provide appropriate maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and the weight room; motivate both small and large groups of student-athletes; passion for the strength and conditioning field. FAU: The FAU Strength and Conditioning Staff is looking for qualified interns for the 2012 Fall semester. This is an unpaid position lasting the duration of the Fall semester (August 18- December 7). Interns will get the opportunity to assist with all of our 22 Division I sports teams. This internship will provide the opportunity to coach athletes and assist in day to day activities involved in the development of athletes and functioning of a collegiate weight room. Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University Strength and Conditioning program is currently in the process of accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant for fall 2012 semester. Candidate will be asked to design and implement annual periodization for the sports assigned by Director of Strength and Conditioning. Assist with and conduct periodic performance and strength testing, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
