Coastal Carolina: Coastal Carolina is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Speed, Strength, and Conditioning.  This is a full-time, benefitted appointment.  Position reports directly to the Director of Speed, Strength, and Conditioning.  Responsibilities may include, but not limited to, program planning and implementation for 2-3 assigned sports, and providing assistance with other teams as necessary.  Additional responsibilities may include supervision of assistants and undergraduate interns and other duties as assigned by Director of Speed, Strength, and Conditioning. Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Exercise Science or related field;  experience post Bachelor degree with Division I intercollegiate athletics;  one of either NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC required.  First Aid/CPR required. Submit letter of application, resume, and list of references to Josh Stoner, Director of Speed, Strength & Conditioning, jstoner@coastal.edu

Tennessee State: Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of (3) Strength and Conditioning Interns for the Fall semester. The successful candidate will be working with a variety of sports. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. No monetary compensation will be provided. Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Louisiana at Lafayette: The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Department of Strength and Conditioning has an immediate opening for a paid internship. The chosen candidate will receive $1000.00 monthly (before taxes) and work extensively with Ragin’ Cajuns Football. There is no benefits package. The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in a related field of Strength and Conditioning, have a strong desire to be a collegiate strength coach, be experienced in Olympic Lifting techniques, and other free weight movements, possess credentials in the CSCCA, NSCA, and/or USAW, (or be studying for certification), and have experience as a collegiate athlete. Nevada: The University of Nevada Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach position. This position will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Wolf Pack Strength and Conditioning Department in all facets of training and upkeep of the facility. The successful candidate will also be assigned sport teams to be determined by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. A Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field is required.  Applicants must be accepted into a Graduate Program at the University of Nevada.  Experience in a collegiate athletic setting and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level is preferred. Certifications in one or all of the following:  SCCC, C.S.C.S., USAW is preferred, but not required.  Compensation will be $16,800 per 12-month period, including tuition (up to 6 credits per semester) and health benefits. Wyoming: Wyoming is seeking a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. General Duties / Description: Design, develop and deliver comprehensive and coordinated training programs for designated Intercollegiate Athletic teams. Applicant must possess a strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic-style lifting exercises. Assist with recruiting.  Implement and enforce all rules, policies and procedures with regard to the weight room and equipment. Be flexible to work irregular hours. Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA and the Mountain West Conference is of paramount importance to the University. Tulane: Tulane University Department of Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated and hardworking candidates to fill a Fall 2012 Internship.  This position is offering no monetary compensation.  Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I College Strength & Conditioning setting as well as earn college credit, if necessary and future recommendations.  Responsibilities will include: 1.) Organizational and office duties.  2.) Daily maintenance of equipment.  3.) Aid in the instruction of safe and proper weight training techniques.  4.) Maine: University of Maine is currently seeking intern applicants for our Fall 2012 Speed, Strength & Conditioning Internship Program. Responsibilities will begin on or about September 4, 2012 and run through December 14, 2012. Must adhere to the rules of the NCAA, The University of Maine Intercollegiate Athletics Department, Colonial Athletic Association, America East Conference, and the Hockey East Conference. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field, certified in CPR / First Aid, and strong desire to become a College Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications: Currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Individuals will gain experience in a Division I collegiate speed, strength & conditioning setting, as well as future recommendation for employment. College credit will be given as approved by their institution. Arkansas: The University of Arkansas Olympic Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications to fill its paid (w/o benefits) strength and conditioning coach position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams (men’s T&F, Soccer, TBA); demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; supervise during team workouts, individual workouts, and open hours; assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
