Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington University is seeking grad assistant strength coaches. The graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Washington University will be responsible for the program design and implementation of assigned sports and will assist with implementation of training as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the head and assistant strength and conditioning coaches with the design and implementation of training programs; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year assignment beginning with the 2014-15 academic year and includes a tuition waiver for graduate credit hours (student fees not covered) per term (summer terms excluded) and a monthly stipend. Auburn: Auburn University is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Volunteer Intern for Football. Auburn University competes at the NCCA Division 1 level, and is a member of the South Eastern Conference. Applicant will serve the football program as a non-counted coach. Daily responsibilities will include assisting with supervision and implementation of all aspects of the Athletic Performance program for football. There will also be a detailed internship curriculum that will help the intern further their knowledge in the field of Athletic Performance. Intern qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree, Strong work ethic, Desire to learn, Enthusiasm, Punctual and have the Ability to finance an unpaid intern position. Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field; Eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification.      South Carolina's weight room philosopshy and the 'why" behind it

UAB: UAB Department of Strength & Conditioning is currently accepting applications for full-time intern positions for the summer semester. Successful candidates can expect to work full time for the duration of the internship starting May 5 and ending July 29th. Application for the internship at the UAB should include a cover letter, resume, and have a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution. Ideal candidates will have or be working towards an Exercise Science related bachelor’s degree and at least one of the following certifications: CSCS; SCCC; USAW but are not required. Applications for the summer semester are due by April 1st. The intern must also be willing to work early mornings and late nights during the week and weekends. This is an UN- PAID position. Prior to starting the internship, successful candidates must be willing to complete a liability waiver and with the potential of undergoing a background check per UAB. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting the Full-time Strength and Conditioning Coaches with the design and implementation of sport specific strength, speed, agility and programs. UConn: The University of Connecticut Sports Performance Department is accepting applications for volunteer football interns for summer 2014. This gratis position offers Division I experience and training in an educational environment and the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities will include: assist the Football Strength and Conditioning staff in the supervision and training of UConn’s Division I intercollegiate football program; assist with daily administrative, cleaning and maintenance duties; assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout; and participate in weekly projects and assignments for the duration of the internship. Successful candidates can expect to work full time for the duration of the 10-week internship starting May 22nd and ending July 29th. Application for the internship at the University of South Alabama should include a cover letter, resume, and have a bachelor’s degree or college senior at an accredited institution. Northwestern State: Northwestern State University, a Division I member of the Southland Conference, is seeking applicants for the newly created position of Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Full-time coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level, preferred. Also preferred are the following certifications – NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, and USAW. First aid/AED certification required.
