TCU: TCU currently has one internship position available for the 2014 Fall Semester. Internships through the TCU Strength & Conditioning department are currently available for the Fall 2014 semester for those who would like to pursue a career in Strength & Conditioning. The TCU Strength & Conditioning Department is a teaching department that offers our interns hands-on experience as well as prepares them to become qualified Strength & Conditioning professionals. Maine: The University of Maine athletic department currently has a restricted earnings strength and conditioning assistant position available and openings for three un-paid internships starting September 1st. The temporary restricted earnings position includes an $8000 stipend (no benefits/meals/housing included). Program design and implement directly with baseball, women's soccer, along with assisting in football and other sports as needed. Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is seeking volunteer interns for the Fall semester. Daily responsibilities will include the following: 1. Assisting with supervision and implementation of strength training programs for various sports 2.Tending to daily maintenance of the training facilities 3.Ability to lead a team independently through weight training, plyometrics, speed, agility, conditioning, and flexibility training after 4-5 weeks of introduction with the Head Coach. San Jose State:​ San Jose State University Athletic Performance Department is now accepting applicants for the 2014 Fall Semester internship program. The Fall internship program will begin August 25th and run through December. Three (3) qualified candidates will have the opportunity to advance their competence while gaining knowledge and experience in the field of Athletic Performance at a Division 1A institution. Liberty: The Liberty University Strength and Conditioning Department, a member of the FCS and Big South Conference is currently seeking qualified intern candidates for both the 2014 Fall Semester and 2015 Spring Semester. Fall Internships will begin September 1st and run through December. Intern responsibilities consist of but are not limited to observation of strength coaches, coaching and encouraging of athletes, setting up and breaking down of equipment for training sessions, maintenance of equipment and weight rooms, data entry, active participation in projects and assignments throughout internship. Indiana State: Volunteer internships through the Indiana State Strength and Conditioning department are currently available for this Fall beginning August 18, to those who want to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. These positions are unpaid. Interns will receive experience working in a Division 1 training environment; have the opportunity to earn recommendations for future career opportunities; and receive college credit if applicable. The interns at Indiana State will have an opportunity to work with all 12 of our men's and women's athletic teams. As a staff we believe in providing our interns with the best instruction possible in order to enhance their strength and conditioning career opportunities. Interns will be expected to assist in various aspects of the program. The level of ambition of the intern will determine the level of the learning experience. Prairie View A&M: Prairie View A&M University Strength & Conditioning Department is looking for 1-3 unpaid interns for the Fall 2014 semester. The potential candidate(s) will gain experience working with Division I athletes through the Fall, expand on their base of knowledge and gain potential references for future Strength & Conditioning positions. Webber International (FL): Webber International University is seeking qualified applicants for ONE 2014-2015 Intern-Assistant position.
