West Virginia: Our sources tell us that Minnesota Vikings assistant Byran Fitzpatrick will be joining the staff at WVU as an assistant strength coach.  Fitzpatrick served on the staff at Penn State for 2 years before joining the Vikings' staff.

University of Wyoming: Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. General Duties/Description: Design, develop and deliver comprehensive and coordinated training programs to designated Intercollegiate Athletic teams. Establish performance measures and targets. Organize teaching sequences of training techniques for fall orientation and throughout the year.  Teach proper execution of techniques and safety for lifts and drills. Applicant must possess a strong knowledge of teaching technique of Olympic-style lifting exercises.  Evaluate training phases and coordinate and conduct testing, compile and communicate test results.  Assist with programs as required by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.  Assist with the day to day cleaning, maintenance and operation of all training facilities.  Be flexible to work irregular hours. Accept other duties as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator.  Effectively work, write, speak and communicate with staff, administrators and other coaches in the athletic department. LaSalle: Graduate Assistant Position LaSalle University, Philadelphia PA. DESCRIPTION: Assist Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with supervision of 16 Division I teams. Applicant will be responsible for design, implementation and supervision of strength, speed, agility and quickness programs for 2-4 teams as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Applicant must possess good organizational and communication skills. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience with Olympic Sports. Individual should posses an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition or related field.   Personal qualifications desired are a highly motivated individual that is professional and dependable. Missouri State University: Department of Strength & Conditioning is accepting applications for 2009 Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants.  Responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision and training of MSU's 16 Division1 intercollegiate athletic programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship.  Qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the field of Strength & Conditioning.  Preferred qualifications include: Perusing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience.   Individuals chosen for position are subject to university background checks and standard hiring procedures. Nova Southeastern University: Our sources have just told us that Rene Pena has resigned as the head strength & conditioning coach at Nova Southeastern.  Pena was the first ever head strength coach at the university and will now leave after 3 years.
