University of Virginia: Internship Program - The University of Virginia Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern - Olympic Sports for the Fall and Spring semesters. The successful candidate will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 20 hours per week with the strength & conditioning department. The program is designed for undergraduate students and the post bachelor professional looking for experience working with collegiate athletes in a scientifically based, progressive training program.  The responsibilities will include:  1. Assisting with supervision and execution of team training programs.  2. Learning and teaching student-athletes proper technique and equipment use.  3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities.  4. Participation in assigned weekly professional development projects.  No monetary compensation will be provided.   Qualifications: Must be self-motivated, focused and have a genuine desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Ideal candidates will have a certification from one of the following. (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW)   Inquiries must be received by: September 1st for the Fall semester, and November 15th for the Spring semester.
