Western Carolina University: Strength and Conditioning Internship, $10,000 over 10 Months, Description: Western Carolina University invites qualified applicants the opportunity to apply for the position of strength and conditioning intern.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: program design, implementation, and supervision for assigned teams,  teaching of proper techniques as they relate to speed, power, and strength development, assist the head and assistant strength and conditioning coordinator with team training, as well as daily weight room operations. Requirements: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field and pursuing a career in strength and conditioning.  Candidates must be able to teach proper lifting techniques, have good communication skills, and be able to use Microsoft Office.  It is preferred that the candidate be certified through an accredited association (NSCA, CSCCa, USA-Weightlifting) or obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
