Washington Redskins: Former Houston Texans assistant Ray Wright has accepted the top strength position with the Redskins.

Portland State University: Athletics is accepting applications for the position of football strength and conditioning coach.  This position will report to the director of strength and conditioning and work closely with the head football coach as well as handling one or two other sports as assigned.  Minimum requirements: CPR/AED certification; Experience as a college athlete or in a college strength and conditioning setting.  Preferred: Bachelor?s degree in a program geared toward Exercise Physiology or a related field, nationally-accredited strength and condition certification (PES, CSCS, USAW, SCCC, etc.) To apply the position, e-mail a cover letter, resume, and list of professional references all as one Microsoft Word attachment to Ron Davis at This email address is being protected from spambots. Buffalo Bills: Former Dolphins strength coach John Gamble will serve as coordinator of strength with the Bills along with Eric Ciano.

Baylor University: Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for Summer 2010 Athletic Performance Interns.  Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship.  Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one's career in the strength and conditioning field; Ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week.  Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Houston Texans: The Texans have hired Kansas City Chiefs strength coach Cedric Smith.

Ohio State: The Ohio State Football Strength and Conditioning coaches are accepting applications for the position of Football Performance Intern for the Winter off-season and spring football (15-weeks).  There is one position available and the position will start as soon as possible.  This is a highly competitive and demanding internship.  The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assist with supervision and execution of strength training, speed, and conditioning programs for all Ohio State Buckeye football student-athletes. 
2. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 3. Participation in professional development curriculum and various projects. 4. Assist with implementation of NFL draft training for outgoing Ohio State Buckeye student-athletes.
