South Dakota State University: Brookings South Dakota. South Dakota State University, is accepting applications for a qualified, highly motivated Graduate Assistant in Strength and Conditioning.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports. Provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage. Supervising weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing.   Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences, CPR certification and certified or working to be certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCC).  In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University.  Compensation includes 2/3 tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred.  Previous athletic experience preferred.  Experience with the Olympic lifts preferred.  Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with integrity. The position will begin at the end of May 2011. University of Rhode Island: Strength and Conditioning Internship for Spring Semester 2011. Duties: Assist Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength, speed, agility, flexibility and conditioning programs for 17 sports; facility maintenance and upkeep; program design; educational assignments; and other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff.  Applicants must be coachable,enthusiastic, confident in exercise technique, working towards and/or have a NSCA certification, commit to a minimum 20 hours a week, and have experience working with football.
