Morehead State: Morehead State University is accepting applications for 1 Graduate Assistant position in Strength and Conditioning. Morehead State University is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Pioneer Conference for Football. Preferred qualifications: 2.75 GPA or Higher in Exercise Science or related field, strong work ethic, athletic experience, and communication skill. Success Applicants will receive $10,000 a year stipend with the condition of being accepted into the Master’s program. Maine (FCS): The University of Maine is seeking applications for 2 Assistant Speed, Strength & Conditioning Coaches. Both are full time, fiscal year positions.  Typically has the education associated with a Bachelor;s Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Exercise Science or related field; excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills required; must possess a current CPR certification at time of hire or must attain one within 1 month of the date of hire; must be a current member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach certification is preferred; must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; ability to lift up to fifty pounds; working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of athletic strength and training equipment; successful supervisory experience; ability to demonstrate and communicate proper spotting and lifting techniques. South Dakota: The University of South Dakota’s Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for a motivated individual who is interested in an internship for the Fall Semester of 2013. Qualifications: All applicants must have a background in Exercise Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology or related field. Applicants must also be in pursuit of obtaining a CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification as well as being CPR certified. Winthrop University (SC): Winthrop is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the Fall and Spring semesters. Hampton: Hampton University is seeking a candidate for the position of Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant. The position will assist with all aspects of Football Strength and Conditioning as well as various other sports as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. The qualified candidate will be required to enroll in at least 9 credit hours per semester. Compensation: Tuition will be covered at a rate of 60%, the remainder will be paid by the qualified candidate. GA will also be paid a monthly stipend of roughly $400. Candidate must be accepted into any Hampton University graduate program and complete all necessary paper work before beginning. Start date for position will be September 1, 2013. Indiana State: The Indiana State Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for the Fall 2013 Athletic Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. Start Date: August 20th- End Date: December 6th This is an UNPAID position. QUALIFICATIONS: Punctuality, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, ability to work early mornings and late evenings. Internship is a commitment for the entire duration of the given semester. Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science or related field, or of senior status. RESPONSIBILITIES: Various daily coaching assignments. Daily facility and equipment cleaning and maintenance. Staff meetings – present weekly research articles to share with staff. Assist in overseeing supplement distribution. Weekly teaching sessions with strength and conditioning staff members. Final project or lecture to strength and conditioning staff on assigned topic. Assist with any duties or assigned tasks by fulltime staff. Idaho: Oregon State assistant strength coach Miles Gemberling has been named assistant strength and conditioning coach at Idaho.

Marshall: The Department of Strength and Conditioning (Olympic Sports) at Marshall University is accepting applications to fill Fall 2013 volunteer coaching positions. This is an un-paid volunteer position, but the coach will gain vital experience through performing daily responsibilities which include: assisting in the setup, implementation, and breakdown of team training sessions (12 intercollegiate sports); daily maintenance of the training environment; learning proper technique and others coaching skills critical to the profession. Candidates must be CPR/First Aid certified and actively pursuing a bachelor’s/master’s degree in exercise science or related field.
