Pepperdine: Pepperdine University’s Strength and Conditioning Department is currently seeking qualified intern candidates for Fall 2013. Applicants should currently be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preferred qualifications include CSCS and USA-W Certifications. Current CPR certification is required. Duration of the internship will be performance based, and will begin on August 19th and terminate on December 13th. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to university background checks and standard hiring procedures. This is a non-paid volunteer position, requiring a minimum of 20 hours/week, though more hours will be strongly encouraged. Interns will receive experience working at a Division I program, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities and receive college credit if applicable. Essential job functions for the position include, but are not limited to: Assisting the Director of strength and conditioning and assistant strength and conditioning coaches in developing and implementing strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs for the University’s intercollegiate athletic teams; Assessing student-athletes' physical attributes to improve athletic performance; Maintaining weight rooms and equipment; Input of testing data and daily/weekly updating of speed, strength, and conditioning workouts; Provide discipline and motivation to student-athletes to excel and improve; Performing miscellaneous related duties when necessary. Samford: Samford University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERN. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Rocky Mountain College (NAIA - MT): Indiana State assistant strength coach Dan Watson has joined the staff as head strength coach, and will also serve as an assistant coach for the football program in a role to be defined later.
Wisconsin: Assistant strength coach Brian Bott has left the program, according to Madison.com. Bott informed the players on June 10, but remains under contract through Sunday.

Western Carolina: Western Carolina is currently seeking 4 qualified individuals for its Fall 2013 Athletic Performance internship positions. These are unpaid positions, however applicants will be given necessary time to seek employment elsewhere to help with expenses. You will report directly to our Internship Coordinator and will be responsible for any duties assigned by the Director of Athletic Performance, and/or the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance. Other duties will include general equipment upkeep, assisting groups, weight room sanitation, computer work, game day responsibilities, and assisting in the supplementation program. Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University Strength & Conditioning program (Division II) located in Wichita Falls, Texas is currently in the process of accepting applications for (3) Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistants for fall 2013 semester. Pitt: The University of Pittsburgh’s Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for the Fall 2013. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Arkansas State: Arkansas State University Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant.
