Massachusetts: The University of Massachusetts Football Strength and Conditioning Department is looking for motivated individuals who are interested in Spring volunteer internship positions. A background in Exercise Science, Sport Science, Kinesiology or related field is preferred but not required. Applicants should also be in pursuit of obtaining a CSCS, USAW, or SCCC certification as well as being CPR certified. Individuals who apply should be highly motivated, have strong work ethic, be punctual, and have a strong desire to become a future strength and conditioning coach. Daily duties will consist of aiding the strength and conditioning staff with assessments of student athletes, sitting in on meetings when designing programs, implementation of programs, performing proper lifting techniques, motivating athletes, and general maintenance/cleaning of the strength and conditioning facility. Interns will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understand program design, and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. There is no monetary compensation for theses positions. Wisconsin-Whitewater: Whitewater is looking for interns in the strength and conditioning department for for Spring Semester 2014 (Feb. 1-May 9). This is an UNPAID internship but great opportunity to gain experience. Duties: Assist S & C coordinator with all aspects of training for all varsity sports. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need. Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential. Assist with outside activities as assigned by S & C Coach. Job Requirements: Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Excellent work ethic. Ability to adapt to schedule changes. CPR/First Aid certified. Desired Skills: Knowledge and experience in all areas of strength training including Olympic style lifting as well as speed, agility, plyometric, flexibility and conditioning methods. Working towards or completion of an undergrad/grad degree in Exercise Science or related field. Currently certified or working towards certification from nationally known organization. Georgia Southern: Sources tell us Sam Houston head strength coach Kyle Speer will join Willie Fritz at GSU.

Louisville: Western Kentucky associate head strength and conditioning coach Scott Wilks will move to Louisville with Bobby Petrino according to Bowling Green Daily News writer Chad Bishop.
