Northwestern State University (LA): Natchitoches, Louisiana. Sports Performance Assistant (Graduate Assistant). Job Description: One (1) ten-month positions- looking to hire immediately. Sports Performance Assistants will aid in all areas of strength and conditioning instruction with NCAA Division I Southland Conference athletes. Candidates are also required to spend 20 hours a week working in NSU's Health and Human Performance program. Qualifications: 2.5 Cumulative Undergraduate GPA and over an 800 on the GRE. Graduate assistant must be enrolled full-time (9 hours/semester) in the Health and Human Performance graduate program, and have practical knowledge of exercise technique instruction. Experience with the Conjugated Periodization and Olympic lifts helpful. The candidate will assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs by designing and administering workouts for their assigned team(s). Compensation Graduate Assistant will receive $10,000 in the form of salary or tuition reimbursement over the ten-month period, as well as in-state tuition. Summer compensation is also available. - Provide and implement year-round sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for 15 Division I intercollegiate sports (FCS football)
- Supervise, educate, and advise graduate assistants, student assistants, and professional staff on performance-related issues
- Oversee/manage resources, operations, scheduling, and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities
- Promote Southeast Missouri State University and its athletics programs through community involvement
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field
- NSCA CSCS Certification
- Demonstrated evidence of motivating student-athletes
- Demonstrated successful strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
- Demonstrated history of working successfully with students, faculty and the community
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
- Demonstrated commitment to working with multi-cultural populations and an awareness of issues affecting women and minorities

Clemson University: As FootballScoop first reported two weeks ago, Dennis Love has officially been named assistant strength & conditioning coordinator for Olympic sports at Clemson University.
University of Richmond: There is an opening at University of Richmond. Former assistant strength coach, Quadrian Banks, has joined Don Decker's staff at Ole Miss. Banks served on the staff at Richmond since 2007.

Winthrop University: Hayes Galitski has been promoted from assistant strength coach to head strength coach. Galitski served as a strength & conditioning graduate assistant at Bowling Green State University from 2005-2007 prior to joining the Winthrop staff last year.

Marquette University: Internship in Strength & Conditioning. Job Description: Marquette University, a Division I Institution and a member of the Big East Conference, seeks qualified candidates for strength and conditioning internships in the Strength and Conditioning department. Potential interns will be expected to develop a positive rapport with the student-athletes and coaching staff's while establishing themselves as a coach figure and conducting themselves accordingly. Duties: Assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the development and implementation of strength training, speed, and conditioning programs for 14 varsity teams, weight room supervision, weight room upkeep, equipment maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Successful candidates should have prior weight training experience and/ or a competitive or coaching background in collegiate athletics. Additionally, successful candidates should be working towards completion of a bachelor's or master's degree and/ or have a strong desire to gain experience in the field of strength and conditioning. Additional qualifications include prior classes in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology. Compensation: Class credit toward graduation requirements, gear when available, the opportunity to learn from three full-time strength and conditioning coaches, and earned recommendation for the next step in the career progression.
