St. Francis College (Brooklyn, NY): St. Francis College and Conditioning Department is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Fall 2014 Semester. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room. Intern will also be required to complete various educational assignments during the internship. This is an unpaid position. If chosen for this internship opportunity, you will gain valuable experience in working Division I college athletics, be educated on training philosophies, Olympic lifts, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Qualifications include: strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Augsburg (D-III - MN): The Augsburg College Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for the Fall 2014 semester. Duties include: assisting with all aspects of training for all varsity sports, daily facility set-up and maintenance, assisting with supervision and skill demonstration during training sessions, data collection and input, the completion of internship course curriculum, and assisting with outside activities as assigned by S&C Coach. Applicants must be highly self motivated, able to follow directions, eager to learn, posess a strong work ethic, and have the ability to adapt to schedule changes. Delaware: The University of Delaware Strength & Conditioning Department is accepting applicants for both Summer & Fall positions. This is an UNPAID position. Saint Leo (D-II - FL): Saint Leo University is currently accepting internship applications for the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters. Qualified candidates should be planning on pursuing a career in Strength and Conditioning. This 17 week internship will afford candidates the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience and knowledge working with all (17) sports. During the internship there will be assignments assigned to allow interns the opportunity to better their coaching abilities. Examples include but are not limited to; writing a year-round training program(s), facility design, budgeting, staffing and a mock NSCA test. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with the supervision and execution of training programs. Professional development through the internship program. Maine: The University of Maine athletic department currently has a restricted earnings strength and conditioning assistant position available. The position would work directly with baseball and women's soccer, along with assisting in football and other sports as needed. All applicants must have a bachelor degree, hold a First-Aid CPR, and have prior experience in a collegiate or professional strength and conditioning setting. South Carolina: Angelo James has accepted a role on the South Carolina strength staff. James has previously served on strength staffs at Tennessee and Mississippi State.

South Florida: West Virginia speed / conditioning coach Irele Oderinde has accepted the same position at USF, per sources. Sources confirm to us that he has accepted a position at USF (we understand that he has actually accepted the head strength position).

Wagner: Elon assistant strength coach Brian Tracz has accepted the head strength and conditioning position at Wagner College.

Elon: Former Tennessee and Florida International assistant strength and conditioning coach Ryan Horton has accepted the head strength job at Elon.

Bixby (OK): Bixby High School, a 6A (largest classification in OK), iss looking for a full time strength and conditioning coach. The position would include working with athletes from all sports. Bradley: The Bradley University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional for the position of Assistant Sport Performance Coach. This is a 12-month, part-time, entry level position. This position offers the opportunity to gain direct experience training Division I athletes, encompassing strength and conditioning program design and implementation for 200+ student-athletes in all 15 sports; involving education and instruction on proper lifting technique, running mechanics, speed development, agility training, flexibility and recovery methods. A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. One to three years of strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate environment is also preferred.
