Cumberland University (TN): Cumberland University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting two (2) volunteer unpaid strength and conditioning intern positions for the Fall 2014 semester. Internship will begin August 7 and continue through December 6, 2014. Qualifications: Completed or working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field; current CPR/AED certification; desire to pursue career as a strength and conditioning coach; strong work ethic; punctual. The position is responsible for Assisting the Director of Strength & Conditioning in all departmental functions. Duties will include assisting with Mercer Football’s Inseason Strength program as well as writing and implementing Strength program for one or two assigned teams. Qualifications required are experience with teaching and demonstrating the Olympic lifts, Power lifts; 6+ months experience in writing and implementing sports performance team programs; first aid and CPR certified; an accredited certification (preferably CSCS, USAW, or SCCC).
