Notre Dame: Here's the deal. The defensive intern is not returning. Notre Dame has a young coach in mind for the hiring of that position. The offensive GA Shane Waldron took a quality control job with the New England Patriots over a month ago. Charlie Weis then hired former Notre Dame linebacker Kinnon Tatum to the replace Waldron.

Urbana University: has named their coordinators. David Barr, former DBs coach at Tiffin University, to Urbana as the Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator. Coach Barr will coach the secondary for the Blue Knights. Matt Handzo, former WRs coach at Tiffin University, to Urbana as the Offensive Coordinator. Coach Handzo will be coaching the QBs/WRs. Jeff Smith, current assistant coach at Urbana, was retained and will be coaching LBs.

Bridgewater College: a Division III program in Bridgewater Virginia is accepting applications for 2 restricted earnings positions (one defense and one offense) that are 5 month appointments beginning in August 2008. Eastern Illinois: Roy Wittke, former OC of Arkansas, was hired to come back to EIU as OC and coach quarterbacks.  He was the position coach for Tony Romo back when Romo played at EIU.

Illinois Wesleyan: Tim Kelly set to become the new defensive graduate assistant.  Kelly played at Eastern Illinois last year.

Rutgers: Look for Dennis Scuderi Jr. to resign as Director of Recruiting at Rutgers to accept the Head football position at Absegami High School, in Absecon New Jersey.

Virginia Union University: We hear that Virginia Union University hired J.C. Smith as Quarterback Coach, Jason Mai to coach Wide Receivers, Promoted Defensive Line Coach, Craig Cox to Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator and Wide Recievers Coach, Calvin Randall to Offensive Coordinator. 

West Virginia: Former WVU offensive lineman Dale Wolfley will join the Mountaineers' staff this summer.  Wolfley resigned in early April as the head coach at Phoenix College after 3 seasons.  Wolfley played guard at WVU from 1987-90.
