New "Relentless" episode from Ohio

Another solid edition here from the "Relentless" series at Ohio.

There's some really good off the field footage with tight ends coach Brian Haines, as well as a good look inside of freshman orientation.

Pac 12 Network launches

Twitter was buzzing earlier with the launch of the highly anticipated Pac 12 Network.

Many people were talking via Twitter about how certain carriers (DirecTV and Cox) had not finalized a deal prior to the launch date, and therefore left many fans out in the cold during the premier. This article seems to sum up many of the regional issues that viewers witnessed.

Those who were able to tune in heard some good nuggets from Rick Neuheisel, including his opinion that the Pac 12 is a more difficult conference to win games in week in and week out than the SEC.

Interesting opinion.

On a different note, the video section of the Pac 12 Network website is top notch. It covers everything from school specific promotional materials from prestigious alumni, to mic'd up sessions with coaches and inside access to practices.

Videos like the one at the top of the article are the quality that you can expect on a consistent basis from the network. Really good stuff.

"I expect us to shut down the offense every time"

After improving 93 spots in total defense last season, Greg Mattison noted that he wants to see more consistency from the Wolverine defense this year.

Mattison made it clear that he's not happy with what he has observed so far during camp.

"If you polled 124 defensive coordinators, they'd probably all say the same thing. But that bothers me because this is Michigan and I don't expect that. I expect us to go out there and totally shut down the offense every time."

With only a handful of padded practices under their belt, Mattison is emphasizing playing "Michigan defense" day to day.

"I can't say that there is one player I would say, 'Boy, every practice he comes out with perfect technique and he's going as hard as he can and he's executing. You're going to expect that, but we can't accept it. Each guy has to say, 'I'm going to get as many plays today as perfect as I can and play Michigan defense.' We've got to do better at that."

David Beaty mic'd up at A&M

David Beaty joined Kevin Sumlin's staff as the receivers coach after serving as an offensive coordinator in his previous two stops at Kansas and Rice.

Recently, Beaty got mic'd up and provided some good rout instruction during 1-1 drills and called special teams coordinator Brian Polian the best special teams coordinator that he's ever been around.

Video: Stadium expansion at Mississippi State

A few months back athletic director Scott Stricklin introduced some exciting changes in Starkville, and today a detailed video of the stadium expansion project was released.

The renovations will total about $75 million and will increase the seating capacity to accommodate over 61,000. Also, changes will be made to the brick facade on the west side of the stadium and a premium field level area will be added.

See more of the changes below.
