Introducing the Mountain East Conference

Twelve university presidents announced the addition of a new conference spanning Division II schools in Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia.

The new Mountain East conference will include; Concord (WV), Fairmont State  (WV), Glenville State (WV), Notre Dame College (OH), Shepherd (WV), The University of Charleston (WV), The University of Virginia's College at Wise (VA), Urbana (OH), West Liberty (WV), West Virginia State (WV), Wheeling Jesuit (WV), and West Virginia Wesleyan (WV).

The West Virginia schools were previously part of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and had announced plans to withdraw from the conference earlier this year to form a new league.

Conference competition in the Mountain East will begin in 2013 - 2014, and with 11 of the 12 members sponsoring a football program (Wheeling Jesuit being the only one that does not), a conference championship game will take place.

According to West Virginia Wesleyan's website, no schedules for 2012 - 2013 will be affected.

Florida State's staff talk about why they coach

Jimbo Fisher, associate head coach Eddie Gran, defensive coordinator Mark Stoops and offensive coordinator James Coley shared some thoughts on why they coach in this clip.

"Every young man that I coach get's the ultimate experience, because I think this is the greatest time of their life. And that they experience excellence and get a sense of what being successful is and what it takes to be successful, and that every one of them achieve it." Fisher explains.

Fisher points out that they'll have 12-14 guys on the roster this fall that have already earned their degree and another 10 that will graduate a semester early. Pretty impressive.

Really well produced HS video

Justin Price took over as the head coach at Campbell County (TN) just over 13 months ago, and brought in a staff that has made an immediate impact. Players have noticed an upgrade on everything from schemes and conditioning to their equipment and logo.

The coaching staff and players are clearly excited and motivated for the upcoming season, and everyone is definitely on the same page.

Very well done high school video here.

Hawaii gets a military style wake up

Hawaii got an interesting wake up call their first night at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor - Hickam. Norm Chow and the Warriors spent five days of fall camp at the base.

As you can see, they were very well versed in military workouts by the time they left the base on the 17th. The team also got to tour the USS Arizona memorial and got a first hand history lesson on the role that Pearl Harbor played in World War II.

Coach Chow explains the advantages of training at the base at about the 11:30 mark, and the video wraps up with players doing the ritual "haka" dance.

Another well done video from Colorado

The video guys at Colorado have released another solid highlight of fall camp.

Not a word is spoken during the clip, which shows how well the video was produced.
