Meet 2 of Houston's new coaches

New additions to the Houston staff, offensive coordinator Mike Nesbitt and inside receivers coach / special teams coordinator Jamie Christian sat down to talk about their journey, experiences and philosophy that led them to the Cougars.

Coach Nesbitt talks about his experiences with Mike Leach (amongst others) and how he "begged, borrowed and stole" from their schemes to help him get to where he is today. Nesbitt and Christian also touch on the lessons that they have learned as they have progressed through the coaching profession.

Towards the end of Christian's clip, he mentions interviewing with Tony Levine at the convention in San Antonio, and fifteen minutes later got a call back from him offering the job. The interview is literally the first thing he has done since stepping on campus.

The videos have some great content in them, especially for the young coaches out there.

Video: Rich Rod talks about new hires

Rich Rod caught up with the Arizona Daily Star to talk about his new hires the other day.

Rodriguez talks about how the timing was right for things to fall into place, and also breaks down how the special teams duties will be delegated next season.

Rich says that all of the assistants will be involved in the special teams duties, but will break down the duties into offensive special teams (kick return, punt, field goal) for Spencer Leftwich, and defensive special teams (kickoff, punt block, field goal / extra point block) to be handled by Tony Gibson.

Muschamp talks about Pease

Will Muschamp met with the media to talk about new offensive coordinator Brent Pease recently.

Muschamp said that he focused on finding not only the right fit for the program, but also someone that was going to bring in some new ideas and new energy to the program.
