Michigan's win over Notre Dame...Instant Classic
Honestly, we're not sure we've ever seen this before.
Within 15 minutes of the end of the game, ESPN has announced that they will replay the game in it's entirety at 3:30AM on ESPN and at 9:30PM on ESPNU.
Literally, the final was so good that ESPN is re-airing it in 4 1/2 hours on the network.
For those of you that just can't wait, here's a link to the game on ESPN3.
Spoiler alert> For those that haven't seen it...3 TDs in the final minute twenty. Michigan wins it on the last play 35-31.
Mario Cristobal gets a huge win
In case you didn't get a chance to see it live, Coach Cristobal's excitement after they beat Louisville last night was fantastic. We're trying to get some video and will update this post if we get our hands on it.
This was the first win over an opponent from a BCS conference in the history of the program and Cristobal let it show on the field. He was jumping on the backs of other coaches, high fiving everyone, just truly enjoying the moment (Cristobal was high fiving some fans so hard we are positive some are still feeling that this morning).
One local reporter noticed that he went out of his way to high five the parents of T.Y. Hilton (WR who had 201 yards receiving and 2 long touchdowns...keep an eye on this guy).
Post game, Cristobal had the following to say:
It's huge. It's huge for us. Since the day you get there you preach about building a championship program and people look at you like a three-eyed monster. We've just been pecking away; every coach, every player, every administrator, everyone in the program. We got to this point where we win a conference championship, win our first game. Now we're 2-0 against a conference opponent and now a BCS program in their own backyard. Louisville is a team that recruits against us and I hope the eyes are open real wide after what went on here tonight.
Pflugrad getting it done
We're pretty sure most guys that read this site either know or are aware of Montana head coach Robin Pflugrad. Coach Pflu has been coaching out west for nearly 30 years and has been the head coach at Montana for the past two seasons (prior stops include Oregon, WSU, Northern Arizona, Arizona State and Portland State). He's got a battle on his hands today with Cal Poly; but we're pretty sure he found a few minutes to watch last night's Arizona State vs. Missouri game.
But what everyone might not have known was that both his son and daughter have made it big in college football as well.
Pflugrad's son Aaron plays wide receiver for ASU and he went big last night on national TV pulling in eight catches for 180 yards and 2 TDs (his second straight game with 2 TDs).
Pflugrad's daughter Amanda was a cheerleader for Oregon.
The Pflugrad's are doing well. Now go get a win today Coach.
Jump forward to the 0:30 second mark and you can watch both of Pflugrad's TDs.
Huge day today. Hope everyone plays well and stays healthy.

"If you're lucky enough that we trust you to run a fake, after you get the first down please get what you can and then go down or out of bounds."
Every coach in America.
In last night's Oklahoma State vs. Arizona game, Mike Gundy called a fake punt in which the punter kept it off the right edge. The punter, Quinn Sharp, easily got the first down, then decided to stay in bounds and lower his shoulder against the defender rather than heading for the sidelines.
After the game, Gundy was quick to say that he would have been a whole lot happier if Sharp had simply headed out of bounds.

Well done "Gameday" website
Arizona State hosts Missouri tonight. We went to Arizona State's website to do a little research.
In doing so, we found a very small (almost hidden) link to their "Gameday Central".
Their base football website is fine, similar to many other colleges.
Gameday Central on the other hand is a winner. Easy to navigate, and it puts all of the information you could possibly need at your fingertips. Seriously, every team should have a page as simple and functional as this.
Highlights...first, everything you need is visible. Ticket info, gameday parking, etc...but more importantly, schedule, results, stats, quotes, pics, roster (both teams), two-deep (both teams), game notes (both teams), media guide (both teams), etc...TV, radio links, gametracker link, twitter, facebook, etc...really, all in one spot.
Arizona State: All Black
Missouri plays at Arizona State tonight in a nationally broadcast game (10:30 on ESPN).
ASU will be debuting their new all black uniforms and helmets tonight.
The black uniforms have been extremely well received by the players and we hear the recruits in the area love them as well.
The game itself should be a fun one to watch. We're especially interested to see how Mizzou defensive coordinator Dave Steckel's defense performs against Noel Mazzone's offense. Mazzone's squad had 11 scoring drives last season that took under 1:10...and they had two last week under 1:33. In their opener last week against UC Davis, ASU put up 48 points and racked up over 500 yards. We suspect Stec's defense won't be as accommodating.
We can't imagine that you're wondering; but if you were wondering about the black unis being hot to play in at night, this ASU professor says you can rest easy...the black won't make them any hotter at night. Whew.
Love being back in the swing of the season. Last night (Zona at OSU and the NFL) was great...tonight's Mizzou at ASU could be a dandy.
All times Eastern, additional games may be broadcast regionally.
None - but how good was last night's Saints / Packers game?
