Corso drops a bomb on College Gameday
An F-bomb to be precise. It was right as he went to don the head gear and it was classic. Everyone loves Corso.
Moments later, ESPN brass brought him back on air to issue an apology. Completely unnecessary.

More "Urban to Ohio State" talk
Well, once again, the internet is abuzz tonight with Urban Meyer to Ohio State talk. Earlier tonight, the website SportsByBrooks posted that, "multiple sources close to the Ohio State football program have confirmed that Urban Meyer is assembling a coaching staff after agreeing to become the next head coach at Ohio State."
Twitter nearly exploded.
However, cool water was quickly poured on the fire when Gainesville reporter Pat Dooley tweeted that he text'd Urban who replied, "No truth to it."
For what it's worth, the post on Brooks' website added that Meyer's agreement was agreed in principle but has not been signed. He added that Meyer has been told he'll have the budget to assemble what is "expected to become the highest-paid assistant coaching staff in history."
Brooks also said that Meyer's "initial plan" is to retain Luke Fickell and Stan Drayton (who was with Meyer at Florida). Says he also plans to add his TV co-worker Chris Spielman, Kirk Herbstreit, Jon Tenuta (NC State) and LSU's offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Greg Studrawa (who worked with Urban at Bowling Green).
Sources at Ohio State that we spoke with today said that they believe Urban is the target; but that both sides have agreed to hold tight until they have additional clarity regarding the matters in front of the NCAA (Ohio State is scheduled to appear before the NCAA infractions committee on December 10th; however they have requested to move the discussion with the NCAA up to the week of November 28th).
Video: A look at the D-III playoffs - Week 1
FootballScoop and D3football.com got together to take a look at the D-III playoff bracket and some of the first round games.
Pat Coleman, executive editor of D3football.com, shares his vast insight into some of the games and coaches involved. We'd like to thank Pat for taking the time to join us and we look forward to having him back on each week through the playoffs.
Ronnie Lott very impressed with Harbaugh
Former 49ers' safety Ronnie Lott was recently quoted saying that Jim Harbaugh might be doing one of the best coaching jobs in the history of the NFL. Yes, the same Ronnie Lott that played under Bill Walsh.
Lott is even more impressed because of the short off season that Harbaugh had to endure as a first year NFL head coach saying on Sirius NFL radio that "This might be the greatest coaching that I've ever seen in the history of the game of professional football. It's his first season, and not only is he hitting it out of the park but, man, he's hitting all the notes. Everything that you can think of, he's done."
Harbaugh's Niners are 8-1 and will undoubtedly break the franchise's streak of eight straight non-winning seasons. The 49ers will be looking for their 8th straight win as they take on Arizona Sunday at 4:05 eastern on FOX.
Your wife's twitter account
When you are one of the nation's top paid assistant coaches, and have a national title under your belt, people tend to watch your every move.
If you are Gus Malzahn, somebody actually noticed that your wife's twitter account recently began following the mayor of Chapel Hill, NC, the police department there, the UNC student newspaper, and a few other UNC related twitter feeds. That should be enough to keep the rumor mill busy for a little while.
Let that serve as a lesson to all of us. Make sure that your wife knows that her actions on twitter are being watched, and possibly scrutinized. Sad...but true.
Urban to Ohio State?
Late last night, a website devoted to Ohio State coverage tweeted that according to multiple sources, Urban Meyer has agreed to become the next head coach at Ohio State. They followed it up by tweeting that they were serious.
To be clear, this report is unconfirmed.
Normally, an unconfirmed report from a local website that we aren't familiar with isn't the type of thing that we alert you to; however in this instance, a good number of national media began to volley the report around on twitter...some even vouching for the integrity of the site reporting this.
No question Urban should be at the top of nearly any program's list. The question here is given the unknown of how the NCAA (which just last week notified Ohio State that it will face "Failure to Monitor" charges) will rule against the University, would Urban be willing to sign on now.
As always, we'll have our eyes and ears open and will keep you informed.
