Inside Scoop: John Wristen - CSU Pueblo

John Wristen is the head coach at CSU Pueblo (D-II). He was hired in 2007 to start the program and has literally built it from the ground up.

Coach Wristen shares great insight into how he has built his program, why he hired the coaches that he has, how he got Gary Barnett to hire him at Northwestern and he shares great advice to young coaches about how to position themselves to get the break they are looking for.

The whole thing is great; but the last two minutes of this video should be required viewing for all coaches. "Develop relationships and be real."

Inside Scoop: Neil Weiner - Zachary

Neil Weiner, head coach at Zachary HS (5A) in Louisiana, joins us today on Inside Scoop. Weiner shares his thoughts on Hudl (he's hosting the Hudl Up Tour stop tonight), talks about how the staff breaks down film, when the team finds time to watch, and shares his thoughts on some of the most enjoyable visits from college coaches.

You can follow Coach Weiner on twitter @NeilWeiner

Inside Scoop: Ron Roberts - Southeastern LA

In December Ron Roberts accepted the head coaching job at Southeastern Louisiana (FCS) after serving as head coach at Delta State (D-II) for the past five seasons.

In this episode hear why Ron felt this was the right opportunity for him to move up, why he chose to have spring football early this year, the difference between a D-II and a FCS staff and how recruiting is looking thus far.

More to come over the next few weeks from Roberts and his staff.

Video: A new era begins

Walsh University, a newly appointed D-II program located in Ohio, has been throwing some major weight around this off season in an effort to build on their 3 game winning streak to end last season (where they outscored their opponents 109-20), and usher in a new era in 2012.

After competing in NAIA previously, this season will be the Cavaliers first year competing in NCAA D-II, and the guys have been getting after it in anticipation of competing in the GLIAC, one of nations toughest football conferences.

New logo and uniforms at Utah State

Utah State just unveiled the results of their 15 month collaboration with Nike, including their new uniforms and logos over the weekend.

Director of Athletics Scott Barnes likes the new look and hopes that it ushers in a new era of for athletics. "This branding initiative is another important step in growing our overall athletic program. Our new marks and branding program brings a crisp, modern clarity and consistency to our brand while honoring our rich history. I want to thank Nike and especially Nike President and former USU football student-athlete Charlie Denson for his passion and commitment to this project."

There has definitely been some updating to both the uniforms and logos, and the new font and numerals are exclusive to Utah State.
