Earlier today, former Colorado head coach Bill McCartney said the head coaching job at CU had been offered to Washington Redskins assistant coach Jon Embree.
"It was never about me doing it again," McCartney said in an interview with The Denver Post. "It was about setting the table for a black man to come in (as head coach). And he (Bohn) hired one. Now, give him a chance."
Now, athletic director Mike Bohn has released a statement that denies the job has been offered to any candidate.
Bohn says, "The rumors that the University of Colorado has hired our next head football coach are untrue. In the interests of the young men in our program, and our fans and supporters, I want to make clear that the search committee has not yet completed its work, and we have not yet offered the job to any candidate."
Bohn should be giving us a call, so we can break the news on the hire. Or maybe he won't.
Either way, stay tuned to "The Scoop."
