Bo Pelini: I'm not a real stressed-out guy

Pelini spoke with the media this morning at his regularly scheduled press conference. The feedback was that he looks good and he said the same, saying "I have a clean bill of health. No problems.  I feel great. There are no issues."

That's great to hear.

Then, we just about lost it. Steven Sipple who covers the Huskers tweeted that Bo added, "I have tremendous balance in my life...I'm not a real stressed-out person."

Let's just say, a couple of coaches that we traded texts with might disagree with that statement. One, who knows Bo well offered, "He's the most intense person in that state!"

Good stuff. Anyway, we certainly all hope all is well with his health. Back to football...

Kyle Whittingham: We won that game 3 times

After being up 24-7 at one point, and then seeing BYU storm back to have a few chances to at least send it to overtime, Kyle Whittingham was almost speechless after their 24-21 victory over BYU on Saturday.

“Where do I begin? We should be 4-1 because we won this game three times.” Whittingham noted after the game.

This was definitely one of the wildest finishes yet this year.

With 5 seconds on the clock, a BYU pass fluttered out of bounds and the crowd thought the game was over, so everyone stormed the field to celebrate. After further review, one second was put back on the clock.

The fans clear the field, and BYU lines up for a long 51 yard field goal attempt. The kick gets blocked...but the fans rushed the field too early this time and get a 15 yard penalty. So BYU gets another field goal opportunity, this time from 36 yards out.

That attempt, with a totally different kicker, hits the upright and is no good, and the fans spill on to the field again, this time for good.

See how the last few possessions went down in the clip below. Wild.

Highlight video Mizzou watched before Arizona State win

Nicely done hype video here from Mizzou that they showed the team on Friday night.

The Tigers held on for a nice win 24-20 over Arizona State Saturday, fending off a 13 point fourth quarter rally from the Sun Devils to seal the win.

Video: Taggart and the staff call this for the win in OT

For those of you that didn't catch this on Saturday, Western Kentucky pulled off the win over Kentucky in overtime by going for 2 instead of kicking the extra point to send it into double OT.

To get the win, Taggart and the staff pulled this one out. Gutsy call, and very well designed.

Joker Phillips gave credit for the call and explained that they came out in man to man to defend the attempt, "We're in man to man coverage and the only guy you don't have a man accounted for is the quarterback. Great play."

"We've got high SAT's, but the wristbands threw 'em for a loop"

Saturday at Michigan State, Brian Kelly opted to use wristbands to get the offensive plays in because a former Irish staff member was on the Spartan sideline.

Kirk Herbstreit explained during the game that it's the first time in over a decade that Kelly decided to use wristbands over hand signals on offense. The first offense play from scrimmage resulted in a penalty, and Kelly decided to call a time out as the team approached the line to run the second play.

During his post game press conference, Kelly joked about the wristbands and how difficult they were to use for a bunch of guys with high test scores.

"Offensively, we're going through some of the growing pains that I had talked about. Heck, we had wristbands this week, and the first play we couldn't even read the wristbands."

"We've got high SAT marks, but for some reason the wristband thing threw 'em for a loop." Kelly noted.
