Rich Rod hangs out with fans on Google+

While football programs at the NFL and college level look for creative ways to connect with their fan base, Arizona has taken the social media angle and ran with it.

First it was athletic director Greg Byrne blazing the Google+ Hangout trail, and earlier today Rich Rod followed suit wth a session with a few lucky fans, answering questions ranging from living out West for the first time, to how the staff is liking the Tuscon area, and what's got him most excited about the new football facility.

Excellent idea here that more and more programs will surely utilize in the future.
