Georgia releases new secondary logo, uniform tweaks

Georgia released a new brand identity - a first cousin of a new logo/uniform reveal - on Tuesday. The familiar Georgia "G" and the red, black and silver colors aren't going anywhere, but the Bulldogs are getting a facelift across the entire athletic department.

"We're excited about this program whose guidelines embrace the history and tradition of Georgia Athletics and positions the Georgia brand to reach a continually expanding and evolving audience," said UGA Director of Athletics Greg McGarity. "This program will also bring a more consistent look to our logos, uniforms, field markings, and other areas where our marks are displayed."

As mentioned above the "G" isn't going anywhere, but Georgia is introducing this secondary logo.

The Bulldogs' football uniforms will remain largely the same with a few tweaks. The number font has changed, some mesh material has been added and the pants now appear more gray than silver. You can view the whole set here.
