This is how you do an impact freshmen video on the D3 level
Earlier this week we showed you LSU's always excellent "Impact Freshmen" video. This weekend we came across the "Impact Freshmen" film that Rose-Hulman, a Division III program in Terre Haute, Indiana, put together.
The Fightin' Engineers are quite proud of their 2012 freshman class and here's why: 31 freshmen played, 13 started, four were named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week and two made the All-HCAC team. The freshmen combined to produce 196 total tackles with five interceptions and four sacks on defense to go with 14 total touchdowns and three linemen that paved the way for 17 rushing touchdowns.
"As a football coach that understands the importance of a good education I would highly recommend that all high school football coaches let their strong academic players know about Rose-Hulman and urge them to strongly look at attending school there," a high school coach that sent one of those impact freshmen to Rose-Hulman told us. "Not only do the players at at Rose receive a good education but they are able to put this education to good use. In fact, the football team has a 100 percent placement rate within six months of graduation, with the average starting salary being over $63,000 a year."
For anyone looking to play on the Division III level, Rose-Hulman puts together the total package.
