Gary Andersen explains the most important lesson an assistant can learn

Whether your a coordinator, or graduate assistant there's a ton to learn as an assistant coach, and the learning never stops.
Wisconsin's Gary Andersen explained to the Big Ten Network's Gerry DiNardo that there's one thing that an assistant should learn that's more valuable than any scheme or chalk talk session.
"You've got to put the players first. Always be there for them during the good days and the bad days and hug them hard, and discipline them in the way that they need to be. That's the most important thing for me." he explained.
Plenty more quality material from Andersen below, including the decision process that he went through when making the decision to leave Utah State for Wisconsin, and the differences between taking over both programs.
