Iowa State will wear throwbacks this season

Iowa State football team will wear throwback uniforms from the 1920's when it hosts in state rival Iowa on September 14, 2013.

As you can see in the clip below, the uniforms feature vertical stripes on the front of the jerseys (which is unique in itself) and are throwbacks to the day when Jack Trice, the first African-American player in Cyclone history, played for the program.

Players sound like they like them and they understand the history behind the uniform, and since these are unique to Iowa State and the history behind the program, you can bet you won't see these duplicated.
